Dynamic and Static Elastic Properties - Laboratory Investigations of Metamorphites of the "Vranjska Banja" Series
Metamorphites of the series “Vranjska banja” built predominantly of high crystallinity schist series, alternately layered double mica, gneiss, leptonite and micaschist. For the construction of the “Prvonek” dam were carried out laboratory investigations of dynamic and static elastic properties on micashist and gneiss samples in the perpendicular and parallel direction to the foliation. These investigations provided monitoring of the rock mass anisotropy properties and greater reliability of the design parameteres. As the design of mining and construction facilities becomes ...Jelena Majstorović, Bojan Dimitrijević, Suzana Lutovac, Snežana Savković, Miloš Gligorić. Micro- to nanoscale textures of gold in arsenopyrite and scorodite from the As-Au-Bi assemblage of Drenjak locality (Serbia)
Ivana Jelić, Janez Zavašnik, Marina Lazarov, Alena Zdravković, Sabina Kovač, Jovica Stojanović, Aleksandar Pačevski (2023)Arsenopyrite and pyrite are important carriers of Au that is present in the form of microscopic and “invisible” gold. Such gold can be expected to be released upon the process of oxidation of these sulfides. In studied gold mineralization at Drenjak, related to the granitoids of the Oligocene-Miocene Kopaonik Ore District, the main arsenopyrite-pyrite-(bismuthinite) sulfide assemblage was formed in the quartz bodies and partly replaced by scorodite (FeAsO4·2H2O) and Bi-arsenate. With only up to 5 ppm of gold recorded ...Ivana Jelić, Janez Zavašnik, Marina Lazarov, Alena Zdravković, Sabina Kovač, Jovica Stojanović, Aleksandar Pačevski. Sitni, ali bitni: uloga sitnih sisara, herpetofaune i mekušaca u rekonstrukciji pleistocenskih paleosredina
Fosilni ostaci životinja i biljaka imaju važnu ulogu u rekonstrukciji pleistocenskih paleosredina. & Bogićević, K., (2016): Technological changes and population movements in the late Lower and carly Middle Palaeolithic of the Central Balkans. Development and Application of Methodology for Quantification of Overbreaks in Hard Rock Tunnel Construction
A methodology for determining overbreaks in hard rock tunnel construction using the drill-and-blast technique is presented in this paper. The methodology was developed for and applied to crystalline medium- to thick-bedded limestone, but it can be used in any jointed hard rock mass. Overbreaks are inevitable in hard rock tunnelling in a low-confinement environment (shallow tunnels up to several hundred meters deep) as a result of wedge failures along unfavourably oriented discontinuities caused by blasting. It is widely accepted ...hard rock, drill-and-blast, geological overbreak, technological overbreak, stability criterion, discontinuity orientation, tunnel constructionZoran Berisavljević, Dragoljub Bajić, Vojkan Jovičić. Strategic Environmental Assessment and the precautionary principle in the spatial planning of wind farms – European experience in Serbia
Spatial determination planning is at an initial and very sensitive step in the development of wind farms. On one hand, it is important to maximize the potential of wind in a particular area, and on the other hand, it is important to achieve environmental protection (including the human population and natural heritage) in the same space at the same time. With this in mind, it is important to balance all the requirements that are relevant for reaching the optimal ...Boško Josimović, Aleksandar Cvjetić, Danilo Furundžić. The Flow Conditions in the Epikarst Zone of a Karst Aquifer. Case Study: Suva planina Mt., East Serbia
Branislav Petrović (2023)The epikarst as a part of the karst aquifer represents a complex point of contact and mixing of unconsolidated material from the terrain surface, carbonate rocks altered by “corrosive” water, flora and fauna (and remains of), which is partially saturated with groundwater. Significant amounts of (plant accessible) water, and other solutes and particles, can be stored in this zone for extended periods of time. The Late Devonian contraction along the Precaspian Basin north margin: Transpressional range building in the intracratonic domain
Novak Novčić, Marinko Toljić (2023)The evolution of intraplate sedimentary basins located in the vicinity of an active convergent plate boundary is often controlled by the collisional dynamics of the adjacent orogen. The transfer of compression from the orogen to the platform's interior results in the formation of complex structural geometry and kinematics that often reactivate older crustal faults, focus far-field stresses and control the evolution of associated sedimentary basins. One place where this localisation can be optimally understood is the Precaspian Basin, situated ...Intrakratonske deformacije, transpresija, kosa kompresija, krustalni rasedi, intrakratonski transfer stresa, kontrakcioni blokoviNovak Novčić, Marinko Toljić.
