Transformer-Based Composite Language Models for Text Evaluation and Classification
Parallel natural language processing systems were previously successfully tested on the tasks of part-of-speech tagging and authorship attribution through mini-language modeling, for which they achieved significantly better results than independent methods in the cases of seven European languages. The aim of this paper is to present the advantages of using composite language models in the processing and evaluation of texts written in arbitrary highly inflective and morphology-rich natural language, particularly Serbian. A perplexity-based dataset, the main asset for the ...Mihailo Škorić, Miloš Utvić, Ranka Stanković. Available technological procedures for capturing CO2 in the industrial and power generation sectors
Climate change is a major environmental issue caused by anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases. Capturing CO2 and storing it in suitable geological formations is one of the main technological solutions that can provide mitigation of CO2 emission into the atmosphere. Capturing CO2 represents the first phase in process of carbon capture and storage, and includes the application of various technologies for the separation of CO2 produced in the energy and industrial sectors. There are four main systems for capturing ...Lola Tomić, Vesna Karović Maričić, Dušan Danilović, Branko Leković, Miroslav Crnogorac. Projection of SO2 emissions in coal power plants in Serbia
Aleksandar Madžarević, Predrag Jovančić, Stevan Đenadić, Filip Miletić, Miodrag Ristović, Miroslav Crnogorac (2023)The production of electricity in the countries of South-Eastern Europe (SEE) was mainly related to the use of coal, predominantly lignite. The total installed capacity of thermal power plants using coal in these seven countries is 17.813 MW, distributed in 31 thermoblocks. The mentioned plants are the dominant pollutant emitters in all observed countries. Data on the largest emitters in the countries of the European Union and a comparison with SEE countries were collected. The calculation of emissions of ...Aleksandar Madžarević, Predrag Jovančić, Stevan Đenadić, Filip Miletić, Miodrag Ristović, Miroslav Crnogorac. Anticipated sulfur dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants
Aleksandar Madžarevic, Predrag Jovančić, Stevan Đenadić, Filip Miletić, Miodrag Ristović, Miroslav Crnogorac (2024)Southeastern Europe (SEE), which includes Serbia, along with Germany and Poland, is one of the largest producers of solid fuels in Europe. Despite growing environmental concerns, coal, especially lignite, persists and remains the dominant fuel for electricity generation in this region. Concurrently, these power plants emerge as the predominant emitters of pollutants in all the observed states. To conduct a comprehensive analysis, data on major emitters within the European Union were gathered, allowing for a detailed comparison with SEE ...Aleksandar Madžarevic, Predrag Jovančić, Stevan Đenadić, Filip Miletić, Miodrag Ristović, Miroslav Crnogorac. Production of electricity from coal-fired power plants and accompanying CO2 emissions: comparison of EU-27 and US
Even in the third decade of the 21st century, large power plants are still responsible for more than half of the electricity production in Europe and US. They predominantly use fossil fuels in their work, which results in the emission of pollutants into the air, soil and water. In addition to the production of electric energy, fossil fuels, including coal, are used for industrial purposes. Although the use of coal, especially in the countries of the European Union, is ...Uroš Djorgovski, Aleksandar Madžarević, Predrag Jovančić.
New Language Models for South Slavic Languages
Mihailo Škorić (2024)Izlaganje će predstaviti izazove i perspektive modelovanja južnoslovenskih jezika, sa posebnim osvrtom opšte jezičke modele građene na arhitekturi transformera (BERT, GPT), na dostupne skupove tekstova za obučavanje tih modela, te kvantitet i kvalitet tih skupova. Izlaganje će ponuditi pregled dostupnih skupova i modela, dok će posebna pažnja biti posvećena najnovijim korpusima tekstova. Prvi korpus, Kišobran, predstavlja krovni veb korpus južnoslovenskih jezika i ujedno trenutno najveći korpus tekstova na našim prostorima koji broji preko osamnaest milijardi reči i uključuje sve ...Mihailo Škorić. Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion. To reduce those negative impacts on domestic electricity production and to promote environmental awareness, the Serbian Energy Sector Development Strategy and the National Action Plan for Use of Renewable Energy Sources indicate the plan for increasing the share of ...Strategija obnovljive energije, Održiva energija, Proizvodnja električne energije, Solarna energija, Biomasa, Hidroenergije, Energija vetraBoban Pavlović, Dejan Ivezić, Marija Živković. Strategic Environmental Assessment in the Application of Preventive Protection for Wind Farm Noise—Case Study: Maestrale Ring Wind Farm
Determining the spatial position of wind turbines is the initial and most important phase in the development of a wind farm project. In this sensitive phase, all potential problems that may arise in the later stages of project development should be prevented by means of spatial and urban planning instruments. This makes it possible to achieve maximum use of the potential of wind in a particular space and, thus, fulfil the technical and economic requirements of the project while ...Energija,energetski inženjering i elektroenergetska tehnologija, obnovljivi izvori energije, održivost i životna sredina, električni i elektronski inženjering, kontrola i optimizacija,inženjeringBoško D.
