Application of Gel for Water Shutoff: A Case Study of Kelebija Oil Field
This paper focuses on the results of water shutoff operations using DSGA polymer gel in the Kelebija oil field. The methodology of candidate wells selection and the manner of performing the operation will also be included. The Kelebija oil field is characterized by a complex reservoir system with heterogeneous layers of different permeability and dual porosity, which led to the early breakthrough of water. For the last 25 years, average water cut was above 90%. Implementation of water shutoff ...intervención de pozos petroleros, reservoir characterization, production control, well logging, downhole intervention, enhanced recovery, complex reservoir, reservoir surveillance, water shut-off, upstream oil & gasIrina Zahirovic, Petar Skrobonja, Dušan Danilović. Self-Engineering: Possibilities for Maintenance Operations in the Mining Machines Industry
Self-engineering is a relatively new branch of knowledge that aims to understand how systems could “autonomously” re-configure or repair themselves without the intervention of the operators. A direct field of application is within the maintenance spectrum. Having systems or machines capable of self-detecting or even self-repairing could represent a game-changer, in capital asset fields such as the mining industry in particular. This paper aims to investigate the possible benefits and challenges of self-engineering / self-maintenance concerning mining machines, specifically bucket-wheel ...self-engineering, self-maintenance, maintenance operations, mining industry, bucket-wheel excavator, gearbox revitalizationSteven Manders, Milorad Pantelić, Vladimir Milisavljević, Alberto Martinetti. Damage quantification of built stone on Dark Gate (Belgrade, Serbia): sample of damage index application for decay rate evaluation
The Dark Gate is the monument of culture, part of the cultural and historical complex of the Belgrade Fortress. It is constructed of limestone blocks that after 270 years of exposure to environmental conditions and different anthropogenic influences show wide ranges of decay forms. During 2007, detail registration of all built limestone microfacies and weathering forms was done using tools of monument mapping. A correlation scheme ‘‘intensity– damage category’’ was made according to the type, intensity, and distribution of ...Maja Franković, Nevenka Novaković, Vesna Matović.
