Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. (North Macedonia) - sedimentology and biostratigraphy
The research area is located in the central part of North Macedonia, in the area of the Klepa Mts. Based on sedimentological, micropaleontological and biostratigraphical investigations of samples from both the east and west side of the Klepa Mts., sedimentary rocks of the Upper Creaceous age are determined. During the latest Cretaceous, this area was dominated by the sedimentation of dominantly carbonate rocks with variable amounts of clastic components. From the tectonic point of view, investigated area belongs to the ...Violeta Gajić, Milena Dunčić, Ana Mladenović, Dejan Prelević. "Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. Facies analyses, biostratigraphy and radiometric dating of the Lower-Middle Miocene succession near Zajecar (Dacian basin, eastern Serbia)
Challenges and Insights: Sequence Stratigraphy of Pannonian Coals in the Drmno Depression, Serbia
The application of sequence stratigraphy on coal beds worldwide has significantly contributed to the under¬standing of coal deposits and their origin. On the southeastern edge of the Serbian part of the Panno¬nian basin, there is a system of peri-Pannonian basins characterized by the appearance of Upper Miocene coal seams in the siliciclastic fill, which provides an ex¬cellent opportunity for testing sequence stratigraphy in young coal basins. In this study, sequence stratigraphy was applied to coals in the Drmno Depression, ...Anastasia Ninić, Dragana Životić, Dejan Radivojević.
