Selection of Artificial Lift Methods: A Brief Review and New Model Based on Fuzzy Logic
Miroslav Crnogorac, Miloš Tanasijević, Dušan Danilović, Vesna Karović Maričić, Branko Leković (2020)Artificial lift methods have applications in oil wells where oil production is no longer possible due to natural reservoir energy, so this necessary energy is added by introducing lift methods. In order to achieve optimum production, the selection of an artificial lift method is very important. This paper uses fuzzy logic as a mathematical and conceptual model for selection of the optimal artificial lift method. Business Models for Small-scale Biomass Projects Development
Biomass is recognized as the most promising renewable energy source in Serbia. The share of biomass in Serbian final energy consumption is over 10%, but mostly related to traditional use in stoves and ovens. One of the main obstacles for wider implementation of contemporary biomass facilities is the inexperience of consumers and stakeholders in the implementation of “innovative” business models, especially in the cases of small-scale projects. In this paper, three different business models (public utility company, energy cooperative ...... proposed solution and its operation costs would be financed from the city budget, and that the city administration would be responsible for the organization and management of plant operation. Flotability of chalcopyrite from the Rudnik deposit
Knowledge and Rule-Based Diacritic Restoration in Serbian
In this paper we present a procedure for the restoration of diacritics in Serbian texts written using the degraded Latin alphabet. The procedure relies on the comprehensive lexical resources for Serbian: the morphological electronic dictionaries, the Corpus of Contemporary Serbian and local grammars. Dictionaries are used to identify possible candidates for the restoration, while the dataobtainedfromSrpKorandlocalgrammarsassistsinmakingadecisionbetween several candidates in cases of ambiguity. The evaluation results reveal that,dependingonthetext,accuracyrangesfrom95.03%to99.36%,whilethe precision (average 98.93%) is always higher than the recall (average 94.94%).... Application of the principle of circular economy to the thermal groundwater, the example of the municipality of Bogatić
There are about 360 locations of thermal and thermo-mineral waters in Serbia, whose water temperatures range from 14 to 98°C, which ranks Serbia as the richest European country in geothermal energy. The mentioned water resources (thermal and thermomineral waters) are used, mostly, for therapeutic purposes in spas and sports and recreational centers. The main problem that is present is the fact that they are not used in a rational and efficient way. The paper will give examples territorially related ...Marija Jovanović, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac. Geotechnical effects of municipal solid waste destruction with different compaction methods
Jovana M Janković Pantić, Dragoslav R Rakić, Irena G Basarić Ikodinović, Tina D Đurić, Gordana Hadži-Niković (2022)Disposal of waste in municipal solid waste landfills is the only way of waste disposal in Serbia, with daily compaction and covering with soil material. Due to less space for the construction of new landfills, it is necessary to use their maximum capacity. Well-compacted municipal solid waste takes up less volume and enables safer storage, so it is useful to previously determine the compaction parameters in the laboratory: maximum dry unit weight (γdmax) and optimal water content (wopt). Karst wastewater as a high quality, renewable and within the circular economy water resource
Jovana Nikolić, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac (2021)High quality drinking water in it’s natural state is becoming less and less available to the human population. Based on the expected climate changes, it is considered that this resource will be less in the world but also in our region. Also, the accompanying polluting components that exceed the maximum allowable concentration are increasingly present in the waters. Even after the water treatment, it happens that some components are still in the drinking water, which adversely affects human health. ...Jovana Nikolić, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac.
