Validation of vulnerability assessment by means of the Time Dependent, Model: case study from the Slovenian karst catchment
Groundwater vulnerability assessment methods are continuously being developed and existing methods are very often modified to provide better simulation of natural protection conditions and more objective results. Most frequently used methods are based on calculation of predefined parameters influencing water infiltration and underground flow, which can often lead to bias conclusions related to vulnerability evaluations. Some other methods, like the Time Dependent Model (TDM) are based on an approach, where parametrization is obtained at the final stage of the ...Ocena ranjivosti podzemnih voda, karstne podzemne vode, TDM metoda, delineacija sanitarnih zona, Slovenački karstVladimir Živanović, Nataša Ravbar, Igor Jemcov. Geothermal potential, chemical characteristic and utilization of groundwater in Serbia
To collect and unify data about all geothermal resources in Serbia, a database was formed. The database allows us to perceive the geothermal resources of Serbia and their potential for utilization. Based on the data available in the geothermal database, the estimated temperatures of reservoirs, heat power, and geothermal energy utilization were calculated. The database contains 293 geothermal records (springs, boreholes) registered at 160 locations, with groundwater temperatures in the range between 20 and 111 °C. The maximum expected ...Geothermal database, Geothermal resources, Geothermal potential, Hydrochemistry, Hierarchical cluster analysis, SerbiaTanja Petrović Pantić, Katarina Atanasković Samolov, Jana Štrbački, Milan Tomić. Medical Domain Document Classification via Extraction of Taxonomy Concepts from MeSH Ontology
Mihailo Škorić, Mauro Dragoni (2019)This paper is a result of a task that was presented to attendants of Keyword Search in Big Linked Data summer school, that was organized by Vienna University of Technology, under the Keystone COST action in the summer of 2017. It presents a specific approach to the classification via creation of minimal document surrogates based on the US National medical library’s MeSH ontology, which is derived from the Medical Subject Headings thesaurus. In a series of previously classified medically ...... equation tells us that if Si is a set of terms from document Di, and Sj is a set of terms from document Dj , then this index can be defined as a double the number of common terms divided with the total number of terms in both documents (if S is a set, |S| is a number of terms in that set). If documents do ...
... The problem of classifying documents in general occurs in two variants: clas- sification in a well-known, restricted domain of classes, and in an unknown one. For both, the problem is reduced to calculating the similarity of docu- ments, usually with use of the so-called Dice6 index or coefficient ...
... This greatly facilitates and speeds up similarity calculations, as each class now has only one term. In this way, the document will always be classified by the Dice index into the class whose (only) term occurs most often in it, thus avoiding a large amount of computation and reducing the task to finding ...Mihailo Škorić, Mauro Dragoni. Application of the Fuzzy theory in the evaluation of operating parameters of auxiliary mechanization on open-cast coal mine, case study: pipelayers
Achieved operating parameters are the main indicator of the work quality and selection of mining machines. The effectiveness of a coal mine is correlated with the availability of basic and auxiliary machines. The main task of auxiliary machines in lignite mines is to achieve optimal working conditions. From an economic point of view, auxiliary machines generate up to 20% of the lignite mines' total costs. These are the primary reasons for analyzing their current work and making decisions in ...Stevan Djenadić, Miloš Tanasijević, Filip Miletić, Predrag Jovančić.
Preliminary impact assessment of No2 emission from a heating plant on air pollution: case of Zemun, Serbia
The aim of this paper is to provide a preliminary evaluation of the impact caused by NO2 emissions from a heating plant on the local air quality. To model the spatial distribution of NO2 emissions from the heating plant, the AERMOD model was employed. The evaluation was conducted by analyzing and contrasting the simulated NO2 concentration from the heating plant with the overall NO2 concentration recorded at the nearest monitoring station over the entire heating season. The study focused ...Boban Pavlović, Uroš Pantelić, Marija Živković, Dejan Ivezić. Mafic alkaline metasomatism in the lithosphere underneath East Serbia: Evidence from the study of xenoliths and the host alkali basalts
Effects of mafic alkaline metasomatism have been investigated by a combined study of the East Serbian mantle xenoliths and their host alkaline rocks. Fertile xenoliths and tiny mineral assemblages found in depleted xenoliths have been investigated. Fertile lithologies are represented by clinopyroxene (cpx)-rich lherzolite and spinel (sp)-rich olivine websterite containing Ti–Al-rich Cr-augite, Fe-rich olivine, Fe–Al-rich orthopyroxene and Al-rich spinel. Depleted xenoliths, which are the predominant lithology in the suite of East Serbian xenoliths, are harzburgite, cpx-poor lherzolite and rare ...Cvetković Vladica, Downes Hilary, Höck Volker, Prelević Dejan, Lazarov Marina. Crystallographic, spectroscopic, thermal and computational studies of polymeric cobalt(II)–mellitate complex with 2,2′-bipyridine
Orange single crystals of new polymeric cobalt(II) complex {[Co(bipy)(H2O)4]2[Co(μ-mell)(H2O)2]·10H2O}n, 1, were synthesized by slow evaporation method at room temperature (bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, mell = hexaanion of mellitic acid) and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex 1 was characterized based on elemental analysis, FTIR spectroscopy and thermal (TG/DTA) analysis followed by computational analysis of noncovalent interactions and quantum chemical calculations of interaction energies. Regional rockfall exposure assessment, experience from Serbia
Rockfalls are common in hilly and mountainous areas, especially along roads with engineered slopes and cuts. Such is the case for most of the state and local road routes in Central, Serbia, which was the subject in this case study. Jeleč grad- još nepriznati objekat geonasleđa
Hyperpycnites within the Devonian-Carboniferous flysch of the Carpatho-Balkanides (Kostadinovica, eastern Serbia)
