Compaction of Municipal Solid Waste
Jovana Janković Pantic, Dragoslav Rakić, Tina Đurić, Irena Basarić Ikodinović, Snežana Bogdanović (2022)Regardless of the numerous activities undertaken to reduce municipal solid waste, its annual volumes continue to grow. In Serbia, the most common and the only one form of waste disposal is at municipal landfills with daily compaction and soil covering. Municipal waste compacting is one of the basic components of the disposal process. Well compacted waste takes up less volume and allows much safer storage. In order to better predict the behavior of municipal waste at landfills, it is ...Jovana Janković Pantic, Dragoslav Rakić, Tina Đurić, Irena Basarić Ikodinović, Snežana Bogdanović. Coupling of artificial intelligence methods in the development of hybrid intelligent systems
In this paper we present an approach which couples various artificial intelligence (AI) methods in the solution of complex problems that cannot adequately be solved by a single AI method. We argue that the resulting, hybrid intelligent systems (HIS) can be successfully implemented with the use of available AI software libraries. Different coupling methods are analyzed and a classification of hybrid systems based on the chosen method is given. Primena digitalne fotogrametrije u rudniku Rudnik
Digitalna fotogrametrija, lasersko skeniranje i virtuelizacija sve više pronalaze aktivne uloge u rudarstvu, prvenstveno zbog svoje široke mogućnosti primene. Determining the Availability of Continuous Systems at Open Pits Applying Fuzzy Logic
This work presents a model for determining the availability of continuous systems at open pits by applying fuzzy logic and fuzzy inference systems. The applied model was formed by the synthesis of independent partial indicators of availability. The model is based on an expert system for assessing the availability of continuous mining systems. The availability of the system, as a complex state parameter, is decomposed into the partial indicators, reliability, and convenience of maintenance, and the fuzzy compositions, used ...системи, континуални систем експоатације, површински коп, рударство, расположивост, фази логика, max–min композиција, min–max композицијаMiljan Gomilanović, Miloš Tanasijević, Saša Stepanović. Analysis Of the Process Of Carbon Capture Utilization And Storage In Underground Reservoirs
John Nyame (2024)The importance of mitigating the effects of global climate change has necessitated an in-depth exploration of innovative strategies to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Among these strategies, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) has emerged as a promising and transformative solution. This master thesis delves into the diverse realm of CCUS processes, aiming to unravel the positives challenges, and opportunities within this dynamic field. The analysis begins with a systematic examination of carbon capture technologies, encompassing post-combustion, pre-combustion, and oxy-fuel combustion ...... in negative emissions. BECCS is a negative emission technology as the technology removes more CO» emissions than it emits hence termed carbon neutral. Sources of biomass include wood pellets hence the controversy surrounding the technology. Biomass is renewable as plants are regrown to replace ...

An Approach to Management Decision Support: The Coal Mine Pljevlja Management Information System
In this paper we describe the approach that has been used in the development of the Management Information System (MIS) in the Coal Mine Pljevlja in Montenegro. The methodology of this approach was based on new information technologies and management techniques which have already been successfully applied in other related fields. Its main goal was to introduce modern management techniques to mining, adapted to specific features of the mining industry, its operations and environment, thus enabling the tactical management ...... 1 INTRODUCTION Technology alone is not the panacea for overcoming challenges faced by the mining industry. Adsorption and degradation of some psychiatric drugs by sol-gel synthesized titania-based photocatalysts: influence of tungsten and sodium content

Krstić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Tatjana Srećković, Aleksandar Golubović (2019)Mesoporous anatase nanopowders were doped with 0.05−0.5 mol% of W6, in order to obtain more efficient photocatalyst than TiO2 Degussa P25 in the degradation of amitriptyline (AMI) under simulated solar irradiation (SSI). Dominant XRPD peaks were ascribed to anatase phase, with additional peaks which could correspond to brookite, TiO2 bronze and sodium titanate, Na2Ti9O19. The Raman scattering measurements have confirmed anatase as dominant phase, with broad Raman feature at ~270 cm−1 possibly related to Ti–O–Na stretching vibration.
