Surface functional groups and degree of carbonization of selected chars from different processes and feedstock
Marija Ilić, Franz-Hubert Haegel, Aleksandar Lolić, Zoran Nedić, Tomislav Tosti, Ivana Sredović Ignjatović, Andreas Linden, Nicolai D. Jablonowski, Heinrich Hartmann (2022)The knowledge ofthe structural and chemical properties of biochars is decisive for their application as technical products. For this reason, methods for the characterization of biochars that are generally applicable and allow quality control are highly desired. Distribution of major and trace elements in the Kovin lignite (Serbia)
Dragana Životić, Olga Cvetković, Predrag Vulić, Ivan Gržetić, Vladimir Simić, Konstantin Ilijević, Biljana Dojčinović, Suzana Erić, Bogdan Radić, Sanja Stojadinović, Snežana Trifunović (2019)geochemical and mineralogical study was performed on lignite samples from the Upper Miocene Kovin deposit, hosting three coal seams. The Kovin lignite is characterized by high moisture content, medium to high ash yield, medium to high sulphur content and a relatively low gross and net calorific value. The mineralogical composition, and major and trace element contents were determined by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive Xray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) analyses, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). ...... analyses of lignite ashes show that mineral matter in the coal seam I (Table 3; Figs. 2, 3; Table SII of the Supplementary material; Figs. Failure Estimation of the Majdanpek Open Pit East Face Based on Inverse Velocity Model
The Majdanpek open pit mine south district is currently active mining prospect of copper ore exploitation in eastern Serbia. Its depth is approaching the termination depth and occurrences of large-scale instabilities and global instability of the final pit slope is possible. These can generate catastrophic mass movement inside an area that encloses a regional road route and the Pek River bed which is channelled along the outer contour of the pit. The displacements that were noted in early 2023, in the ...Miloš Marjanović, Stefan Milanović, Nikola Simić, Lazar Kričak. Cutting elements of bucket wheel excavators in lignite opensast mines: Methodology and performed solutions
Dragan Novaković, Predrag Jovančić (2016)Bucket and cutting elements geometry (teeth and hardened steel) have very powerful impact on effective operation of bucket wheel excavator, and that`s why, problems of optimal geometry of elements in specific conditions always are of special interest in mining science and technique. If we want to achieve satisfactory utilization of bucket wheel excavator, it is necessary to modulate geometry material characteristics and technological parameters, as regards bucket wheel excavator work regime, and bucket wheel working performances, and also bucket ...Dragan Novaković, Predrag Jovančić. Laboratory testing of fly ash
Fly ash is one of the most common waste materials created by burning of coal. It is composed of smaller particles, consisting mainly of aluminosilicate glass, mullite and quartz, which are collected by electrostatic separators (filter) of gaseous products arising from the combustion of coal. This paper presents the pozzolanic properties, mechanical properties, chemical and mineral composition of fly ash obtained in the combustion process in a power plant Nikola Tesla A (PPNT A) with the addition of a ...chemical composition, fly ash, mechanical properties, mineral properties, pozzolanic properties, X-ray diffraction... Investigating distant effects of the Moesian promontory: Brittle tectonics along the western boundary of the Getic unit (East Serbia)
In this study, we report evidence for brittle deformation in a part of the Carpatho–Balkan orogen, which is explained in terms of effects of the rigid Moesian promontory of the European plate on fault kinematics in East Serbia. We focus on the westernmost part of the Getic Unit of the East Serbian Carpatho–Balkanides, i.e. the Gornjak–Ravanica Unit, located between two main thrusts that were repeatedly activated from Early Cretaceous to recent times.
