Back-arc underplating provided crustal accretion affecting topography and sedimentation in the Adria microplate
Paolo Mancinelli, Vittorio Scisciani, Cristina Pauselli, Gérard M. Stampfli, Fabio Speranza, Ivana Vasiljević (2021)Supported by evidence of deep crustal sources for the observed magnetic anomalies in Central Italy and by outcropping gabbros in the Croatian archipelago, we model the observed gravity and magnetic anomalies in the Central Adriatic Sea and surroundings. We suggest that the major magnetic anomalies in the area are related to a wide underplating and propose that this volume represents the first stage of the back-arc Adria continental breakup in Early Permian times. During the Palaeotethys-Adria collision, underplating has ...Paolo Mancinelli, Vittorio Scisciani, Cristina Pauselli, Gérard M. Stampfli, Fabio Speranza, Ivana Vasiljević. Geotechnical zoning of the terrain along the first section of E-80 highway in Serbia – SEETO route 7
Part of E-80 highway that passes through Serbia (from the city of Nis to the administrative border Merdare) is 77 km long. The highway is divided into two sections: the first from Nis to Plocnik (39.4 km long) and the second from Plocnik to the administrative border with Kosovo. The route is designed through a typical plain and hilly terrain in which different geological units are dominant: crystalline schists, neogene sediments of foothills and quaternary sediments in the valley ...... „factors of the present“ i.e. relief (characteristic shapes, longitudinal and transverse inclinations), modern geological processes and occurrences (sliding, surface decomposition, erosion), hydrogeological conditions (groundwater level, flooding), coverage of the terrain, climatic conditions ...

Optimization and Analysis of Drilling and Blasting Parameters Using O-Pitblast Software
The development of modern technologies has enabled the application of specialized softwares in the field of mining through various segments and processes, including in works related to drilling and blasting. The application of specialized software for drilling and blasting with the use of modern technologies such as photogrammetry enabled more accurate data from the field for later processing. By processing data and creating a 3D model of the terrain for drilling and blasting works, it can obtain precise data, ...Stefan Milanović, Nikola Simić, Lazar Kričak, Milanka Negovanović, Nikola Đokić.
Igor Peshevski, Milorad Jovanovski, Biljana Abolmasov, Jovan Papic, Uroš Đurić, Miloš Marjanović, Ubydul Haque, Natasha Nedelkovska (2019)In this paper a heuristic approach for preliminary regional landslide susceptibility assessment using limited amount of data is presented. It is called arbitrary polynomial method and takes into account 5 landslide conditioning parameters: lithology, slope inclination, average annual rainfall, land use and maximum expected seismic intensity. According to the method, in the first stage, a gradation is performed for each of the carefully selected conditioning parameters by assigning so called rating points to the grid cells on which the ...... 016-0689-3 HE, Y.P. & BEIGHLEY, R.E. Biljana Rujević, Mihailo Škorić (2024)The paper describes linking the Digital Repository of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mining and Geology, with the eScience system in terms of transferring metadata about the results of researchers' scientific work. The steps taken to ensure a smooth harvesting of metadata are outlined. Additionally, a presentation of additional improvements to the OAI system is provided, aiming to contribute to the automatic linking of authors with their results in the eScience system.Biljana Rujević, Mihailo Škorić. Chemo-probe into the mantle origin of the NW Anatolia Eocene to Miocene volcanic rocks: Implications for the role of, crustal accretion, subduction, slab roll-back and slab break-off processes in genesis of post-collisional magmatism
Post-collisional Cenozoic magmatic activity in NW Anatolia produced widespread volcanism across the region. In the Biga Peninsula, in the west, medium-K calc-alkaline to ultra-K rocks with orogenic geochemical signature were emplaced at ~43–15 Ma (Biga orogenic volcanic rocks; BOVR). Volcanic activity in the Central Sakarya region, to the east, is mainly restricted to ~53–38Ma, but also continued during the Early Miocene with small basaltic extrusives (Sakarya orogenic volcanic rocks; SOVR). This study presents a new set of geochemical data ...E. Yalçın Ersoy, Martin R. Palmer, Ş. Can Genç, Dejan Prelević, Cüneyt Akal, İbrahim Uysal. Speleo‐morphology and tectonic processes – What can be seen in slowly deforming regions?
Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić (2022)There are a lot of methods used to determine tectonic process active in a region, and they vary depending on the purpose of the research. However, a number of them cannot be used in slowly deforming regions, because the effects of active tectonic process on the rocks in such regions could be negligible. This is especially true for the recently active tectonics in such regions, since most of the recently active tectonic structures never reach the surface. Because of ...Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić. Characterization of biochar surface functional groups
In this work, biochar originating from paper fibres was examined. Biochar was prepared via pyrolysis method at 550°C. Oxygen-containing functional groups on biochar surface were determined. The surface functional groups of biochar were analysed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The amount of oxygen-containing functional groups was performed with Boehm titration. The total acidity of biochar was mostly attributed to carboxylic and lactonic groups.Marija Ilić, Vesna Pavelkić, Aleksandar Lolić, Branko Leković.
