Analysis Of the Process Of Carbon Capture Utilization And Storage In Underground Reservoirs
John Nyame (2024)The importance of mitigating the effects of global climate change has necessitated an in-depth exploration of innovative strategies to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Among these strategies, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) has emerged as a promising and transformative solution. This master thesis delves into the diverse realm of CCUS processes, aiming to unravel the positives challenges, and opportunities within this dynamic field. Hydrochemical indicators of groundwater flow in the area of “Čukaru Peki” Cu-Au underground mine in eastern Serbia
The physical and chemical properties of groundwater, together with the groundwater levels regime and rock hydraulic properties, are often used to understand and conceptualize the hydrogeological system. Prediction of the influence of mining works on groundwater, and vice versa, is a challenge due to significantly altered groundwater flow patterns in the raw materials exploitation areas in relation to natural conditions. Therefore, multiple parameters are assessed and monitored before and during exploitation to properly characterize and quantify the system for ...Nebojša Atanacković, Vladimir Živanović, Jana Štrbački, Veselin Dragišić, Ivana Cvejić. Correlation Between Dynamic CBR and Compaction and Bearing Capacity of Pavement Foundation Layers
This paper presents a dynamic California Bearing Ratio (CBRd) device that can be used on a prepared pavement foundation layer to obtain a certain parameter of the tested material in the laboratory and in situ in a direct and fast way. For the selected natural material (gravel), it is shown that the laboratory CBRd can be used to estimate the compaction and bearing capacity, because it correlates well with the parameters of the standard and modifed Proctor compaction tests. ...korelacija parametara, donji slojevi saobraćajnica, laboratorijska i terenska ispitivanja, dinamički kalifornijski indeks nosivosti CBRd... construction of the foundation layers of pavements. The Impact Assessment of NO2 Emission from District Heating Plant on Local Air Quality, the Case of Zemun, Belgrade
The Belgrade district heating system relies on fossil fuels in heat production, where natural gas has the largest share of around 95% and fuel oil with around 4.4%. Coupling of artificial intelligence methods in the development of hybrid intelligent systems
In this paper we present an approach which couples various artificial intelligence (AI) methods in the solution of complex problems that cannot adequately be solved by a single AI method. Different coupling methods are analyzed and a classification of hybrid systems based on the chosen method is given. The Late Devonian contraction along the Precaspian Basin north margin: Transpressional range building in the intracratonic domain
Novak Novčić, Marinko Toljić (2023)The evolution of intraplate sedimentary basins located in the vicinity of an active convergent plate boundary is often controlled by the collisional dynamics of the adjacent orogen. The transfer of compression from the orogen to the platform's interior results in the formation of complex structural geometry and kinematics that often reactivate older crustal faults, focus far-field stresses and control the evolution of associated sedimentary basins. One place where this localisation can be optimally understood is the Precaspian Basin, situated ...Intrakratonske deformacije, transpresija, kosa kompresija, krustalni rasedi, intrakratonski transfer stresa, kontrakcioni blokoviNovak Novčić, Marinko Toljić.
