Self-Engineering: Possibilities for Maintenance Operations in the Mining Machines Industry
Self-engineering is a relatively new branch of knowledge that aims to understand how systems could “autonomously” re-configure or repair themselves without the intervention of the operators. A direct field of application is within the maintenance spectrum. Having systems or machines capable of self-detecting or even self-repairing could represent a game-changer, in capital asset fields such as the mining industry in particular. This paper aims to investigate the possible benefits and challenges of self-engineering / self-maintenance concerning mining machines, specifically bucket-wheel ...self-engineering, self-maintenance, maintenance operations, mining industry, bucket-wheel excavator, gearbox revitalizationSteven Manders, Milorad Pantelić, Vladimir Milisavljević, Alberto Martinetti. Challenges of Energy Transition in the Individual Heating Sector
INVENTS: A Hybrid Mine Ventilation Planning and Design System
Ventilation system analysis is a complex process based on the calculation and analysis of numerous parameters. These problems can be successfully solved by the SimVent numerical package, but a full understanding and use of the obtained results require the involvement of an experienced specialist in the ventilation field. The solution was found in the creation of a hybrid system INVENTS, whose knowledge base represents a formalization of the expert knowledge in the mine ventilation field. In this paper we ...... present the design methodology of the hybrid system INVENTS, as well as system structure and user interface. Keywords: hybrid systems, mine ventilation, expert systems 1. Adsorption and degradation of some psychiatric drugs by sol-gel synthesized titania-based photocatalysts: influence of tungsten and sodium content
Nina L. Finčur, Maja J. Šćepanović, Mirjana Grujić-Brojčin, Biljana F. Abramović, Jugoslav B. Krstić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Tatjana Srećković, Aleksandar Golubović (2019)Mesoporous anatase nanopowders were doped with 0.05−0.5 mol% of W6, in order to obtain more efficient photocatalyst than TiO2 Degussa P25 in the degradation of amitriptyline (AMI) under simulated solar irradiation (SSI). Dominant XRPD peaks were ascribed to anatase phase, with additional peaks which could correspond to brookite, TiO2 bronze and sodium titanate, Na2Ti9O19. The Raman scattering measurements have confirmed anatase as dominant phase, with broad Raman feature at ~270 cm−1 possibly related to Ti–O–Na stretching vibration. Determining the Availability of Continuous Systems at Open Pits Applying Fuzzy Logic
This work presents a model for determining the availability of continuous systems at open pits by applying fuzzy logic and fuzzy inference systems. The applied model was formed by the synthesis of independent partial indicators of availability. The model is based on an expert system for assessing the availability of continuous mining systems. The availability of the system, as a complex state parameter, is decomposed into the partial indicators, reliability, and convenience of maintenance, and the fuzzy compositions, used ...системи, континуални систем експоатације, површински коп, рударство, расположивост, фази логика, max–min композиција, min–max композицијаMiljan Gomilanović, Miloš Tanasijević, Saša Stepanović. VENTEX: An Expert System for Mine Ventilation Systems Analysis
A Model for Determining the Dependability of Continuous Subsystems in Coal Mines Using the Fuzzy Logic Approach
Nikola Stanić, Miljan Gomilanović, Petar Marković, Daniel Krzanović, Aleksandar Doderović, Saša Stepanović (2024)This study presents a unique model for assessing the dependability of continuous parts of combined systems in open-pit mining through the application of fuzzy logic. Continuous sub-systems as part of the combined system of coal exploitation in surface mines have the basic function of ensuring safe operation, high capacity with high reliability, and low costs. These subsystems are usually part of the thermal power plant’s coal supply system and ensure stable fuel supply. The model integrates various independent partial ...fuzzy logic, max-min composition, continuous part of combined system (CCS), open pit, mining, dependabilityNikola Stanić, Miljan Gomilanović, Petar Marković, Daniel Krzanović, Aleksandar Doderović, Saša Stepanović. Evaluation of the effects of wastewater heat pump integration into district heating systems by simulation
Dejan Ivezić, Marija Živković, Dimitrije Manić, Aleksandar Madžarević, Boban Pavlović, Dušan Danilović (2023)The integration of wastewater heat pumps (using purified water) in district heating systems is analyzed in this paper. The simulation procedure is proposed to analyze the impacts of stochasticity of purified water temperature and flow to heat pump integration and operation. The analysis includes calculation of the daily and seasonal coefficient of performance, as well as fossil fuel savings and CO2 emission reduction due to wastewater heat pump use. The proposed procedure is implemented for the case study in ...Dejan Ivezić, Marija Živković, Dimitrije Manić, Aleksandar Madžarević, Boban Pavlović, Dušan Danilović.
