  • NMR kinetic studies of the interactions between [Ru(terpy)(bipy)(H2O)]2+ and some sulfur-donor ligands

    Reakcije supstitucije monofunkcionalnog [Ru(terpi)(bipi)(H2O)]2+ kompleksa, gde je terpi = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpiridin i bipi = 2,2′-bipiridin, sa biološki relevantnim sumporo donorskim ligandima, kao što su tiourea, l-metionin, l-cistein i glutation, proučavane su u vodenim rastvorima tehnikom 1H i 13C NMR spektroskopije. Sve reakcije su proučavajne na pH 7,4, u prisustvu fosfatnog pufera, da bi se oponašalo fiziološko okruženje tokom procesa supstitucije. Reakcije se izvode na 295 K pod uslovima reakcija drugog reda.   • Microstructural and magnetic properties of electrospun hematite/cuprospinel composites

    Phase composition, microstructural and magnetic properties of electrospun hematite/cuprospinel composites were investigated. Samples were synthesized starting with 0 to 10 mol% of copper relative to iron. The round shape of reference electrospun fbres was preserved upon their heating up to 600 °C in air, whereas at 700 °C hollow substructure was additionally formed.     Asbestos-containing pottery shards collected in the northeast of Corsica (Cap Corse) and dating from the 19th century, or earlier, have been analyzed by SEM-EDS, XRPD, FTIR and Raman microspectroscopy. Blue (crocidolite) and white (chrysotile) asbestos fiber bundles are observed in cross-sections. Most of the asbestos is partly or totally dehydroxylated, and some transformation to forsterite is observed to occur, indicative of a firing above 800 C.     In order to discover new anticancer drugs, novel ruthenium(III) complexes [Ru(L)Cl(H2O)], where L is tetradentate Schiff base bis(acetylacetone)ethylendiimine (acacen, 1), bis(benzoylacetone)ethylendiimine (bzacen, 2), (acetylacetone)(benzoylaceton)ethylendiimine (acacbzacen, 3), bis(acetylacetone)propylendiimine (acacpn, 4), bis(benzoylacetone)propylendiimine (bzacpn, 5) or (acetylacetone)(benzoylaceton)propylendiimine (acacbzacpn, 6), were synthesized.     A series of nanostructuredfluorite-type Ce1–xYxO2–δ (0rxr0.35) solid solutions, prepared via highenergy milling of the CeO2/Y2O3mixtures, are investigated by XRD, HR-TEM, EDS and Raman spectroscopy.     Reakcije supstitucije monofunkcionalnih kompleksa [(TLtBu)PdCl]+ i [Pd(tpdm)Cl]+, gde je TLtBu = 2,6-bis[(1,3-di-terc-butilimidazolin-2-imino)metil]piridin i tpdm = terpiridindimetan, sa nukleofilima kao što su: tiourea, I−, Br−, NO2−, piridin i dimetil-sulfoksid (DMSO) proučavani su u 0,1 M vodenom rastvoru NaClO4 u prisustvu 10 mM NaCl.     Studije u oblasti antikancerogenih karakteristika jedinjenja rutenijuma(III/II) izazivaju veliku pažnju već nekoliko godina otkako su neka od njih kao što su KP1019 (indazolijum-tetrahloridobis(H-indazol)rutenat(III)) i NAMI-A (imidazolijum) -trans-tetrahlorido(dimetilsulfoksid)indazolerutenat(III)) dostigao nivo kliničkog ispitivanja.
