Mechanosynthesis and structural characterization of nanocrystalline Ce1–Y O2– (x=0.1–0.35) solid solutions
Martin Fabián, Bratislav Antić, Vladimír Girman, Milica Vučinić-Vasić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Shigeru Suzuki, Horst Hahn, Vladimír Šepelák (2015)A series of nanostructuredfluorite-type Ce1–xYxO2–δ (0rxr0.35) solid solutions, prepared via highenergy milling of the CeO2/Y2O3mixtures, are investigated by XRD, HR-TEM, EDS and Raman spectroscopy. For thefirst time, complementary information on both the long-range and short-range structural features of mechanosynthesized Ce1–xYxO2–δ, obtained by Rietveld analysis of XRD data and Raman spectroscopy, is provided. The lattice parameters of the as-prepared solid solutions decrease with increasing yttrium content. Rietveld refinements of the XRD data reveal increase in microstrains in the host ceria ...Martin Fabián, Bratislav Antić, Vladimír Girman, Milica Vučinić-Vasić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Shigeru Suzuki, Horst Hahn, Vladimír Šepelák. Strategic Environmental Assessment and the precautionary principle in the spatial planning of wind farms – European experience in Serbia
Spatial determination planning is at an initial and very sensitive step in the development of wind farms. On one hand, it is important to maximize the potential of wind in a particular area, and on the other hand, it is important to achieve environmental protection (including the human population and natural heritage) in the same space at the same time. With this in mind, it is important to balance all the requirements that are relevant for reaching the optimal ...Boško Josimović, Aleksandar Cvjetić, Danilo Furundžić. The Flow Conditions in the Epikarst Zone of a Karst Aquifer. Case Study: Suva planina Mt., East Serbia
Branislav Petrović (2023)The epikarst as a part of the karst aquifer represents a complex point of contact and mixing of unconsolidated material from the terrain surface, carbonate rocks altered by “corrosive” water, flora and fauna (and remains of), which is partially saturated with groundwater. Significant amounts of (plant accessible) water, and other solutes and particles, can be stored in this zone for extended periods of time. Thus, attenuation or biochemical processes could start in this layer and change quality of infiltrated ...Branislav Petrović. "The Flow Conditions in the Epikarst Zone of a Karst Aquifer. Synthesis of MnCo2O4 nanoparticles as modifiers for simultaneous determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II)
The porous spinel oxide nanoparticles, MnCo2O4, were synthesized by citrate gel combustion technique. Morphology, crystallinity and Co/Mn content of modified electrode was characterized and determined by Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), X-ray diffraction pattern analysis (XRD), simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA). Nanoparticles were used for modification of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and new sensor was applied for simultaneous determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) ions in water samples with the ...Vesna Antunović, Marija Ilić, Rada Baošić, Dijana Jelić, Aleksandar Lolić. The number of unimodular roots of some reciprocal polynomials
Dragan Stankov (2020)We introduce a sequence P2n of monic reciprocal polynomials with integer coefficients having the central coefficients fixed. We prove that the ratio between number of nonunimodular roots of P2n and its degree d has a limit when d tends to infinity. We present an algorithm for calculation the limit and a numerical method for its approximation. If P2n is the sum of a fixed number of monomials we determine the central coefficients such that the ratio has the minimal limit. ...Algebraic integer, the house of algebraic integer, maximal modulus, reciprocal polynomial, primitive polynomial, Schinzel-Zassenhaus conjecture, Mahler measure, method of least squares, cyclotomic polynomialsDragan Stankov. Age And Mode of the Middle Miocene Marine Flooding of the Pannonian Basin—Constraints from Central Serbia
Oleg Mandic, Ljupko Rundić, Stjepan Ćorić, Ðurðica Pezelj, Dörte Theobalt, Karin Sant, Wout Krijgsman (2019)The timing and mode of the marine flooding of the southern margin of the Pannonian basin in SE Europe is still a matter of debate. In central Serbia, integrated bio-magnetostratigraphic data and quantified high-resolution records are completely missing. Here, we provide paleoenvironmental and paleoecological constraints from the Slanci section located near Belgrade that has an excellent preservation of micro-fauna and flora, i.e., planktonic and benthic foraminifera and calcareous nannoplankton. Imputing missing data using grey system theory and the biplot method to forecast groundwater levels and yields
Groundwater management is one of today’s important tasks. It has become necessary to seek out increasingly reliable methods to conserve groundwater resources. Dependable forecasting of the amounts of groundwater that can be abstracted in a sustainable manner requires longterm monitoring of the groundwater regime (rate of abstraction and groundwater levels). Monitoring of the groundwater source for the town of Bečej, Serbia had been disrupted for multiple years. The objective of the paper is to assess the possibility of reinterpreting ...Jelena Ratković, Dušan Polomčić, Zoran Gligorić, Dragoljub Bajić. Karst groundwater quantity assessment and sustainability: the approach appropriate for river basin management plans
Veljko Marinović, Zoran Stevanović (2019)As a result of the fact that karstified rocks can accumulate large amounts of high-quality groundwater, karst aquifer is considered, throughout the world, one of the most important types of aquifers. Due to their high permeability, but also vulnerability to pollution, these precious groundwater resources need to be properly evaluated and protected. Taking into account heterogeneity and complexity of the karst environment, it is difficult to propose a uniform algorithm for managing karst groundwater, which causes the necessity to ...Upravljanje karstnim podzemnim vodama, Pritisci na kvantitet voda, Plan upravljanja vodnim resursima, Bosna i Hercegovina, SrbijaVeljko Marinović, Zoran Stevanović. The Late Devonian contraction along the Precaspian Basin north margin: Transpressional range building in the intracratonic domain
Novak Novčić, Marinko Toljić (2023)The evolution of intraplate sedimentary basins located in the vicinity of an active convergent plate boundary is often controlled by the collisional dynamics of the adjacent orogen. The transfer of compression from the orogen to the platform's interior results in the formation of complex structural geometry and kinematics that often reactivate older crustal faults, focus far-field stresses and control the evolution of associated sedimentary basins. One place where this localisation can be optimally understood is the Precaspian Basin, situated ...Intrakratonske deformacije, transpresija, kosa kompresija, krustalni rasedi, intrakratonski transfer stresa, kontrakcioni blokoviNovak Novčić, Marinko Toljić.
