A methodology for assessing the pressures on transboundary groundwater quantity and quality – experiences from the Dinaric karst
Zoran Stevanović, Veljko Marinović (2020)A relatively novel and abridged methodology for assessing the quantity and quality status of groundwater bodies has been applied in the Dinaric karst of SE Europe. Validation of pressure on quantity is based on groundwater budgeting and the correlation of available groundwater reserves and projected water demands, while pressure on quality is estimated by GIS-created maps: vulnerability – hazard – risk. The results obtained from the studied groundwater bodies indicate mostly low pressure on water quantity, but increased risk from diffuse and point pollution sources. ...Zoran Stevanović, Veljko Marinović. ‘Blue-’ and ‘Brown-speckled’ pottery from Qalhât, the Sultanate of Oman (13–16th centuries): Comparison with traditional Omani 19–20 century productions
Representative ‘Blue speckled’ (13–16th centuries) and ‘Brown speckled’ (13–21st century) wares recovered from the excavations in Qalhât or collected around Bahlâ city (Sultanate of Oman) were characterized by XRPD, SEM-EDS, Raman/optical microspectroscopy, and thermal expansion. Minerals present in the body (quartz, augite and albite as major phases, calcite, dolomite, rutile, anatase, phosphate, hematite and magnetite as minor phases) were identified by XRPD and/or Raman spectroscopy. SEM-EDXS microanalysis was performed on the glazes in order to compare their composition, especially ...Liliana Gianni, Hélène Renel, Aleksandar Kremenović, Philippe Colomban. The State and Perspective of Belgrade District Heating System Development
Dejan Ivezić, Marija Živković, Aleksandar Madžarević, Fethi Silajdžić, Samra Arnaut, Goran Đelić (2019)District heating (DH) system in Belgrade provides energy for heating of more than 21 million m2 in households (app. 50% of all households), public, commercial and industry sectors. Public Utility Company “Beogradske elektrane” is responsible for all segments of the DH system operation. The system is fueled mostly by natural gas. The share of renewables is negligible. The research analyzes effects of implementation of two main projects proposed in the Development Strategy of the PUC - the introduction of ...... - the introduction of heat energy produced in Thermal power plant “Nikola Tesla A” (600 MW) and in CHP waste incineration plant in Vinča (56.5 MW). These projects are analyzed from energy and environmental aspects. Projections of fuel mix in Belgrade DH system for the period until 2030 are presented ...

Distribution of Uranium and Rare Elements in Radioactive Phosphate-Bearing Anomalies in Southeast Mongolia
Boris Vakanjac, Neil Rutherford, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Tanita Đumić, Suzana Đorđević Milošević (2020)Soviet and Mongolian geologists initiated geological exploration of Mongolia for minerals after World War II (1945). These activities lasted until the breakup of the USSR in 1991. As part of this exploration systematic uranium and rare element exploration was undertaken across Mongolia. New exploration resumed in Mongolia at the beginning of the 21st century for a range of ore and mineral deposit styles including uranium, coal, base and precious metals and Fe-ore. This was generally undertaken by Western-based companies. This ...Boris Vakanjac, Neil Rutherford, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Tanita Đumić, Suzana Đorđević Milošević. Application of the Fuzzy Model in the Evaluation and Selection of Hydraulic Excavators on Open-Pit Lignite Mine
Stevan Đenadić, Miloš Tanasijević, Vladimir Milisavljević, Dragan Ignjatović, Predrag Jovančić (2021)The production of lignite in large open-pit mines is mainly performed with continuously operating equipment, where bucket-wheel excavators, bucket-chain excavators, belt conveyors, and spreaders are the basic machines. Smaller machines, usually of discontinuous operating nature, are commonly categorized as auxiliary machines. This paper presents the research related to the analysis of auxiliary machine parameters with the case study for a hydraulic excavator. The purpose of the analysis was to develop a model of rating quality of service of the ...Stevan Đenadić, Miloš Tanasijević, Vladimir Milisavljević, Dragan Ignjatović, Predrag Jovančić. Mesozoic carbonate rocks in Serbia used as dimension stone
Vesna Matović, Tijana Vojnović Ćalić (2016)The building industry in Serbia uses, to a great extent, imported natural stone for architectural purposes. The significance of local deposits, particularly limestones, is not adequately perceived despite the country’s abundance of these valuable resources. Therefore, this study focuses on Serbia’s Mesozoic carbonate rocks, specifically on the deposits of four selected quarries: Klisura, Skrzut, Struganik, and Tisnica. The quality and prospects of the application of these limestones has not yet been the subject of a detailed, comprehensive investigation. Therefore, ...... physical and mechanical properties of limestones: a bulk density (ZSP) and real density (ZBP); b porosity (P) and water absorption (Uv); c compressive strength-dry, water rudstone). Extraction of Bilingual Terminology Using Graphs, Dictionaries and GIZA++
Zbog toga je bilo interesantno ispitati i uporediti potencijal antikancerogene aktivnosti in vitro, u odnosu ...Nevenka Gligorijević, Aleksandar Mijatović, Sandra Aranđelović, Rada Baošić . Application of the principle of circular economy to the thermal groundwater, the example of the municipality of Bogatić
There are about 360 locations of thermal and thermo-mineral waters in Serbia, whose water temperatures range from 14 to 98°C, which ranks Serbia as the richest European country in geothermal energy. The mentioned water resources (thermal and thermomineral waters) are used, mostly, for therapeutic purposes in spas and sports and recreational centers. The main problem that is present is the fact that they are not used in a rational and efficient way. The paper will give examples territorially related ...Marija Jovanović, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac.
