Double traveling valve increases rod-pump efficiency
Traditional sucker rod pumps (SRP) use a single traveling valve, but recent double traveling valve innovations have improved SRP performance and efficiency in field applications with double traveling valves installed in pumps with top mechanical seating. The valves sealed better and produced similar fluid volumes compared with the previous single-valve pumps. They also enabled a reduction in pump diameter and optimized usage of surface equipment. Overall, the double travel valve SRPs produced stable production rates and annual production targets.Miloš Petrović, Bojan Martinović, Milica Ješić, Miroslav Crnogorac. To what extent reactivated faults are (not) responsible for karst process: example from Serbian Carpatho-Balkanides?
Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić (2023)Carpatho-Balkanides represent part of the complex Dinaric – Carpatho – Balkan orogenic system, that geomorphologically dominates the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. The existence of this orogenic system is a result of closure of the Neotethys ocean and subsequent convergence of the Adriatic microplate and the Eurasian continent, that has been still active in the recent times. Such geodynamic characteristics conditioned complex tectonic structures, multiply reactivated during Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic times. The main aim of this work ...Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić. Upper Miocene depositional environments of the Kikinda-Mokrin High (Serbia)
Saša Ivanišević, Dejan Radivojević (2018)Exploration for oil and gas in mature areas, such as the Pannonian Basin, can benefit from reexamination of old data using more advanced modern workflows that focus on the temporal and spatial aspects of sediment deposition. Specifically, we apply a new environment of deposition model that interprets the Upper Miocene- Pliocene sediments as being deposited in a rapidly filling basin characterized by quick shelf edge progradation from the northwest toward the southeast. Reconstruction of this shelf edge trajectory reveals ...Saša Ivanišević, Dejan Radivojević. Rezultati ispitivanja parametara čvrstoće i dinamičkih svojstava mermera i mogućnost njihove korelacije
Ispitivanja stena kao radne sredine, odnosno materijala sa kojim se gradi, na kome se gradi i u kome se gradi, svojom složenošću zahteva njeno svestrano izučavanje po velikom broju parametara. A Model for Determining Fuzzy Evaluations of Partial Indicators of Availability for High-Capacity Continuous Systems at Coal Open Pits Using a Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System
This paper presents a model for determining fuzzy evaluations of partial indicators of the availability of continuous systems at coal open pits using a neuro-fuzzy inference system. The system itself is a combination of fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks. The system availability is divided into partial indicators. By combining the fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks, a model is obtained that has the ability to learn and uses expert judgment for that learning. Investigating distant effects of the Moesian promontory: Brittle tectonics along the western boundary of the Getic unit (East Serbia)
In this study, we report evidence for brittle deformation in a part of the Carpatho–Balkan orogen, which is explained in terms of effects of the rigid Moesian promontory of the European plate on fault kinematics in East Serbia. We focus on the westernmost part of the Getic Unit of the East Serbian Carpatho–Balkanides, i.e. the Gornjak–Ravanica Unit, located between two main thrusts that were repeatedly activated from Early Cretaceous to recent times. Influence of geological substrate on runoff formation, a case study: small river catchments in southeastern Serbia of similar size and with comparable pluviographic regimes
Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Veljko Marinović, Nikola Milovanović, Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Boris Vakanjac, Jugoslav Nikolić, Saša Bakrač (2022)We are witnessing climate change that is happening both, globally and, at the regionally - or local level. As a result of expected climate change in Southeast Europe, in the first place are the distributions of precipitation within the year (frequent extreme events are present) and then the increase in temperature, which already has a significant impact on evapotranspiration and runoff formed in a particular catchment area. In addition to climatic factors, the geological structure, i.e. the hydrogeological characteristics ...Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Veljko Marinović, Nikola Milovanović, Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Boris Vakanjac, Jugoslav Nikolić, Saša Bakrač. On the compatibility of lexical resources for NooJ
Lexical resources for many languages are provided for the NooJ linguistic development environment. Meta-data descriptions of morphosyntactic and semantic properties of these languages and their resources are a mandatory part of each language module. In this paper we analyze how well the meta-data actually describe resources for a chosen subset of languages and to what extent are they compatible across languages to support multilingual processing. We show that there is place for improvement in both directions.... compatibility and standardization. The paper ends with concluding remarks. Pleistocene rhinoceros from Bogovina Cave: the first report of Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 (Mammalia, Rhinocerotidae) from Serbia
Finds of Pleistocene rhinoceros are rare in Serbia, and only one species (the woolly rhinoceros Coelodonta antiquitatis Blumenbach, 1799) has been reported so far. The current paper presents the dental material of an extinct so-called Hundsheim rhinoceros, Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 from Bogovina Cave (East ern Serbia). Both the morphological and metric characteristics of the teeth are consis tent with the attribution to S. hundsheimensis.
