Rietveld crystal structure refinement of a natural rhombohedral grossular-andradite garnet from Serbia
Pavle Tančić, Aleksandar Kremenović (2022)Four macroscopically visible B–E (rim) zones, within a large natural ferric grossular garnet of Grs58–64Adr36–42 Sps2 composition, are described by means of Rietveld refinements of the crystal structures in a series of six space groups, followed by com parative analysis of the R-values, site occupancy factors, and bond lengths and angles. The garnet crystallized in the rhombohedral R63c space group. Various polyhedral distortions and structural or derdis or dervariations between the zones studied are also described and discussed. Energetska bezbednost sektora prirodnog gasa Srbije
The impact of calculation of resources and reserves on mining activity in Serbia
The appearance of interest of the world's most important mining companies i for investment in Serbia imposes the problem of harmonization of domestic legislation with foreign ones. In this paper, specific categorization and classification of mineral raw materials, which do not match in domestic and foreign practice, are treated. The existence of such a conflict of criteria in use for categorization and classification can lead to misunderstanding and create certain complications in business. Cook, Miroslav M. Savić, Snežana D. Savić (2023)Recently, nanocrystal dispersions have been considered as a promising formulation strategy to improve the bioavailability of the deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone ligand DK-I-56-1 (7‑methoxy-2-(4‑methoxy-d3-phenyl)-2,5-dihydro-3H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolin-3-one). In the current study, the freeze-drying process (formulation and process parameters) was investigated to improve the storage stability of the previously developed formulation. Different combinations of lyoprotectant (sucrose or trehalose) and bulking agent (mannitol) were varied while formulations were freeze-dried under two conditions (primary drying at -10 or -45 °C). The obtained lyophilizates were characterized in terms ...... freezing temperature below Tg' should be achieved (Abdelwahed et al., 2006b; Yue et al., 2014), and this condition was met in both freeze-drying processes, while the freezing rate could be considered similar. Dynamic and Static Elastic Properties - Laboratory Investigations of Metamorphites of the "Vranjska Banja" Series
Metamorphites of the series “Vranjska banja” built predominantly of high crystallinity schist series, alternately layered double mica, gneiss, leptonite and micaschist. For the construction of the “Prvonek” dam were carried out laboratory investigations of dynamic and static elastic properties on micashist and gneiss samples in the perpendicular and parallel direction to the foliation. These investigations provided monitoring of the rock mass anisotropy properties and greater reliability of the design parameteres. Application of Membrane Technology for Separation CO2 from Natural Gas
Natural gas consists of a mixture of hydrocarbons with the largest share of methane, and non-hydrocarbon impure components such as N2, CO2 and H2S. In order to fulfill the gas market requirements, it is necessary to separate these unwanted components from the natural gas stream. There are several available technologies for the separation of CO2 from natural gas, such as: polymeric membranes, cryogenic distillation, absorption and adsorption. In this paper is presented the mechanism of CO2 separation using membrane technology, ...Lola Tomić, Dušan Danilović, Vesna Karović Maričić, Branko Leković, Miroslav Crnogorac. Application of the PROMETHEE and VIKOR methods for selecting the most suitable carbon dioxide geological storage option
CO2 storage in geological formations is one of the leading solutions for mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. Types of geological formations that can be used for CO2 storage, that are discussed in this paper are: depleted oil and gas reservoirs, saline aquifers and injection CO2 in partially depleted oil reservoirs for enhanced oil recovery (EOR–CO2 method). In order to select the most suitable geological storage of CO2, the ranking of these storage options was performed using two methods of ...Lola Tomić, Vesna Karović Maričić, Dušan Danilović, Branko Leković, Miroslav Crnogorac. Fluid inclusion study in quartz of the Rudnik Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag skarn deposit, Serbia
Six types of fluid inclusions were identified in three growth zones of hydrothermal quartz from the Rudnik skarn deposit. In the core zone, primary two-phase fluid inclusions of high (type 1) and moderate salinity (type 2) homogenized to liquid between 350-430 °C and 340-420 °C, respectively. Raman analysis revealed that the vapour phases are a CO2-CH4 gas mixture, with a predominance of CO2.
