Asbestos-Based Pottery from Corsica: The First Fiber-Reinforced Ceramic Matrix Composite
Asbestos-containing pottery shards collected in the northeast of Corsica (Cap Corse) and dating from the 19th century, or earlier, have been analyzed by SEM-EDS, XRPD, FTIR and Raman microspectroscopy. Blue (crocidolite) and white (chrysotile) asbestos fiber bundles are observed in cross-sections. Most of the asbestos is partly or totally dehydroxylated, and some transformation to forsterite is observed to occur, indicative of a firing above 800 C. Solid state synthesis of extra phase-pure Li4Ti5O12 spinel
Фазно чист спинел Li4Ti5O12 са величином честица мањом од 500 nm добијен је реакцијом у чврстом стању из стехиометријске смеше наноанатаса (ТiО2) и Li2CO3 која је претходно активирана механохемијским поступком. Реакција у чврстом стању у потпуности се завршава за само 4 часа на температури од 800 ºC. Циљистраживања је испитивање одговарајућих прекурсора који су подесни да седобију чисти нано прахови манганита са перовскитском структуром, као имонофазни чврсти раствори са перовскитском структуром. Structural dissymmetrization of optically anisotropic Grs64±1Adr36±1Sps2 grandite from Meka Presedla (Kopaonik Mt., Serbia)
In this paper, grandite core with Grs64±1Adr36±1Sps2composition was crystallographically studied. This core represents zone A of the macroscopically visiblefive A–E zones of the optically anisotropic Grs58–64 Adr36–42Sps2 grandite.
