Punctuated, episodic magmatism and mineralization of the Rogozna skarn-hosted Au-Zn-Pb-Cu deposits revealed through high-precision U-Pb zircon geochronology
The subvolcanic regions of magmatic centers are commonly associated with alteration, mineralization, and economic ore deposits, however the duration and frequency of mineralizing pulses within the overall lifespan of these centers can be poorly defined. Therefore, models for the formation of mineral systems require more highprecision geochronology data to refine their evolutionary models. Rogozna Mountain and its eponymous magmatic complex, located in SW Serbia, hosts multiple base metal deposits associated with variable rock types and structural expressions and serves as a natural laboratory to ...Skarnovska mineralizacija, Magmatsko-hidrothermalni sistemi, Subvulcanske intruzije, geohronologija na cirkonima, CA-ID-TIMSSean P. The series of Fe3−xYxO4 (x=0.00, 0.042 and 0.084, labeled as Y00, Y05 and Y10, respectively) was synthesized using co-precipitation followed by microwave-hydrothermal treatment (MW) at 200°C. With increase of yttrium content(xvalue), both the morphological inhomogeneity of the samples and the fraction of spinel nanorods as compared to spinel pseudospherical particles increased. Geotouristic Approach to the Elements of Geocultural Heritage by Using UGAM Model: UNESCO World Heritage Site Felix Romuliana (Zaječar, Serbia)
Miloš Marjanović, Rastko Marković, Kristina Šarić, Aleksandar R. Radivojević, Aleksandar Antić, Đoko Raičević, Randall J. Schaetzl, Slobodan B. Marković (2024)This article presents a new Urban Geoheritage Assessment Model (UGAM) for the tourism potential of urban geoheritage. The model was applied to the well-known archaeological site Felix Romuliana (Serbia), so as to determine if the site has the potential to become an urban geosite. To support the UGAM model, a mineralogical-petrographical examination of the building stone available to visitors (both on the site and in the Zaječar National Museum) was carried out, and geological outcrops near the site were ...... Curcumin nanonization using an alternative small-scale production unit: selection of proper stabilizer applying basic physicochemical consideration and biological activity assessment of nanocrystals
Ines Nikolić, Jelena Antić-Stanković, Dragana Božić, Danijela Ranđelović, Bojan Marković, Dominique Jasmin Lunter, Aleksandar Kremenović, Miroslav Savić, Snežana Savić (2020)As the number of poorly soluble drugs is increasing, nanocrystals have become very interesting due to wide range of application possibilities. Curcumin was used as a model active ingredient in this work. Even though it has many proven positive effects, due to its physicochemical issues, its possibilities have not been fully exploited. The goal of this work was to select optimal conditions for a top-down method for curcumin nanosuspension production, and to perform their comprehensive characterization applying complementary methodologies: ...Ines Nikolić, Jelena Antić-Stanković, Dragana Božić, Danijela Ranđelović, Bojan Marković, Dominique Jasmin Lunter, Aleksandar Kremenović, Miroslav Savić, Snežana Savić. Tectonic evolution of the Vršac Mts. (NE Serbia): Inferences from field kinematic and microstructural investigations
The Vršac Mts. in NE Serbia represent the key area to investigate structural relations between the Northern Serbo-Macedonian Subunit and Supragetic Unit of the Dacia Mega-Unit. The geodynamic events during the Variscan orogeny in the Late Paleozoic colligated the two units and led to their metamorphic differentiation. The Late Cretaceous extension exhumed the medium-grade Serbo-Macedonian metamorphic rocks and structurally juxtaposed them against the low-grade metamorphosed basement of the Supragetic Unit along an E-dipping shear zone, which outcrops in the ...severna srpsko-makedonska subjedinica, supragetikum, kinematska analiza, multifazna ekstenzionalna deformacijaUroš Stojadinović, Nemanja Krstekanić, Bojan Kostić, Marija Ružić, Aleksa Luković . Comparison of sequential and single extraction in order to estimate environmental impact of metals from fly ash
The aim of this paper is to simulate leaching of metals from fly ash in different environmental conditions using ultrasound and microwave-assisted extraction techniques. Single-agent extraction and sequential extraction pro¬cedures were used to determine the levels of different metals leaching. The concentration of metals (Al, Fe, Mn, Cd, Co, Cr, Ni, Pb, Cu, As and Be) in fly ash extracts were measured by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. Single-agent extractions of metals were conducted at sonication times of 10, ...leteći pepeo uglja, ekstrakcija sa jednim agensom, sekvencijalna ekstrakcija, mikrotalasi, ultratalasiAleksandra Tasić, Ivana Sredović-Ignjatović, Ljubiša Ignjatović, Marija Ilić, Mališa Antić.
