Influence of mono- and two-component organic modifiers on determination of lipophilicity of tetradentate Schiff bases
‘Blue-’ and ‘Brown-speckled’ pottery from Qalhât, the Sultanate of Oman (13–16th centuries): Comparison with traditional Omani 19–20 century productions
Representative ‘Blue speckled’ (13–16th centuries) and ‘Brown speckled’ (13–21st century) wares recovered from the excavations in Qalhât or collected around Bahlâ city (Sultanate of Oman) were characterized by XRPD, SEM-EDS, Raman/optical microspectroscopy, and thermal expansion. Minerals present in the body (quartz, augite and albite as major phases, calcite, dolomite, rutile, anatase, phosphate, hematite and magnetite as minor phases) were identified by XRPD and/or Raman spectroscopy. SEM-EDXS microanalysis was performed on the glazes in order to compare their composition, especially ...Liliana Gianni, Hélène Renel, Aleksandar Kremenović, Philippe Colomban. Dehydroicetexanes in sediments and crude oils: Possible markers for Cupressoideae
Hans Peter Nytoft, Geir Kildahl-Andersen, Sofie Lindström, Frode Rise, Achim Bechtel, Danica Mitrović, Nataša Đoković, Dragana Životić, Ksenija A. Stojanović (2019)Two previously unidentified dehydroabietane isomers were isolated from Miocene Serbian lignite and Rhaetian (Late Triassic) coaly mudstones from South Sweden and characterized using NMRspectroscopy as cis- and trans-dehydroicetexane. Both have a 9(10?20)-abeo-abietane or icetexane skeleton, consisting of a 6-7-6 tricyclic framework with seven carbons in ring B instead of the usual six in common diterpanes of the abietane-type. Dehydroicetexanes can be detected using GC-MS-MS in m/z 270?146 chromatograms without interference from dehydroabietane or other isomers. Dehydroicetexanes are often abundant ...Hans Peter Nytoft, Geir Kildahl-Andersen, Sofie Lindström, Frode Rise, Achim Bechtel, Danica Mitrović, Nataša Đoković, Dragana Životić, Ksenija A. Stojanović. Investigating distant effects of the Moesian promontory: Brittle tectonics along the western boundary of the Getic unit (East Serbia)
In this study, we report evidence for brittle deformation in a part of the Carpatho–Balkan orogen, which is explained in terms of effects of the rigid Moesian promontory of the European plate on fault kinematics in East Serbia. We focus on the westernmost part of the Getic Unit of the East Serbian Carpatho–Balkanides, i.e. the Gornjak–Ravanica Unit, located between two main thrusts that were repeatedly activated from Early Cretaceous to recent times. We combine a new data set on ...Getikum, Mezijska jedinica, Karpato-balkanski orogen, krte deformacije, Gornjačko-ravanička jedinicaAna Mladenović, Milorad D. Pleistocene rhinoceros from Bogovina Cave: the first report of Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 (Mammalia, Rhinocerotidae) from Serbia
Finds of Pleistocene rhinoceros are rare in Serbia, and only one species (the woolly rhinoceros Coelodonta antiquitatis Blumenbach, 1799) has been reported so far. The current paper presents the dental material of an extinct so-called Hundsheim rhinoceros, Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 from Bogovina Cave (East ern Serbia). Both the morphological and metric characteristics of the teeth are consis tent with the attribution to S. hundsheimensis. Unfortunately, the rhinoceros material originated from an uncertain geological context, so there is no ...... of Vertebrate Paleontology, Paris Las Vegas, Nevada, November 2-5, 2011:159- 160. Overcoming the Low Oral Bioavailability of Deuterated Pyrazoloquinolinone Ligand DK-I-60-3 by Nanonization: A Knowledge-Based Approach

Savić, Snežana D. Savić (2021)Poor water solubility of new chemical entities is considered as one of the main obstacles in drug development, as it usually leads to low bioavailability after administration. To overcome these problems, the selection of the appropriate formulation technology needs to be based on the physicochemical properties of the drug and introduced in the early stages of drug research. One example of the new potential drug substance with poor solubility is DK-I-60-3, deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone, designed for the treatment of various neuropsychiatric ...... 10 min at 1000× g (MiniSpin® plus centrifuge, Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany) for plasma separation.
