Self-Engineering: Possibilities for Maintenance Operations in the Mining Machines Industry
Self-engineering is a relatively new branch of knowledge that aims to understand how systems could “autonomously” re-configure or repair themselves without the intervention of the operators. A direct field of application is within the maintenance spectrum. Having systems or machines capable of self-detecting or even self-repairing could represent a game-changer, in capital asset fields such as the mining industry in particular. This paper aims to investigate the possible benefits and challenges of self-engineering / self-maintenance concerning mining machines, specifically bucket-wheel ...self-engineering, self-maintenance, maintenance operations, mining industry, bucket-wheel excavator, gearbox revitalizationSteven Manders, Milorad Pantelić, Vladimir Milisavljević, Alberto Martinetti. Integrated energy planning approach for accelerating energy transition of households
The success of energy transition planning depends on several influential and variable factors that need to be considered and tracked in modeling to support policymakers. Expert-based energy models are mainly developed following the assumptions of experts and, in most cases, a limited number of stakeholders. This top-down modeling approach will provide satisfactory results in centrally managed energy sectors (electricity generation and distribution, district heating, etc.), where further decisions could be projected relatively precisely. However, the same approach will not ...Energetsko planiranje, Integrisano energetsko modeliranje, Energetska tranzicija, Domaćinstva, Individualno grejanje, LEAPBoban Pavlović, Marija Živković, Dejan Ivezić. Determining the Availability of Continuous Systems in Open Pits Using ANFIS and a Simulation Model
This paper presents a model for determining the availability of continuous systems at open pits using the neuro-fuzzy system. The concept of availability is divided into partial indicators (synthetic indicators and sub-indicators). The presented model in relation to already existing models for determining availability uses a combination of the advantages of artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic. The case study addressed the I ECC (bucket wheel excavator–conveyors–crushing plant) system of the open pit Drmno, Kostolac. In this paper, in ...Miljan Gomilanović, Ugljesa Bugarić, Mirjana Banković, Nikola Stanić, Saša Stepanović. Different aspects of soft computing methods application for blasting in mining
Mining is a global industry that is of great importance for every product which is used by human. For mining, process efficiency, reducing production downtime, increasing profitability are all very important. Soft computing tehnologies (SC) are helping in the process of transforming the mining industry into a safer and more environmental friendly industry, but keeping in mind the financial aspect as well. In this paper some of fields of blasting activities in which the SC methods have been applicated, ...Katarina Urošević, Jelena Zakonović, Radmila Gaćina. Hidrogeoekološki aspekti aksploatacije uglja u Pelagonijskom basenu (Makedonija)
Teren u okolini leţišta uglja karakteriše se umereno kontinentalnom klimom, ...ugalj, podzemne vode, površinske vode, neogeni kompleks, izdani, transmisibilnost, nivo podzemne vode, sniţenje nivoaKostadin J. Quantitative landslide risk assessment in the city of Tuzla
In the climate-changing conditions, geological environment interacts more dramatically with the urban fabric than before. The urbanization is expansive and more aggressive than before, but so are the weather extremes and long-term climate trends. In effect, many processes which can be triggered by either side, nature or engineering, are becoming more pervasive than before, and such is the case with landslides. Dealing and managing landslides requires few crucial steps, starting from collecting data on landslide location and typology – ...Miloš Marjanović, Biljana Abolmasov, Cvjetko Sandić, Miralem Mulać, Petar Begović. Agates of the Lece Volcanic Complex (Serbia): Mineralogical and Geochemical Characteristics
Agate veins and nodules occur in the Lece Volcanic Complex (Oligocene-Miocene) situated in the south of Serbia and occupying an area of 700 km2. This volcanic complex is composed predominantly of andesites, with sporadic occurrences of andesite-basalts, dacites and latites, and features agate formations that have been very little investigated. This study focuses on five selected agate occurrences within the Lece Volcanic Complex, employing optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction analysis, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry ...Zoran Miladinović, Vladimir Simić, Nenad Nikolić, Nataša Jović Orsini, Milena Rosić. An Approach to Management Decision Support: The Coal Mine Pljevlja Management Information System
In this paper we describe the approach that has been used in the development of the Management Information System (MIS) in the Coal Mine Pljevlja in Montenegro. The methodology of this approach was based on new information technologies and management techniques which have already been successfully applied in other related fields. Its main goal was to introduce modern management techniques to mining, adapted to specific features of the mining industry, its operations and environment, thus enabling the tactical management ...Božo Kolonja, Ranka Stanković, Filip Vuković, Ivan Obradović. Devolatilization behaviour of Kolubara and Kostolac lignite (Serbia) during the combustion process: A case study
Miodrag Životić, Nenad Nikolić, Dragoslava Stojiljković, Danica Bajuk-Bogdanović, Dragana Životić (2024)In this study the devolatization behaviour of lignite samples, of various grain sizes, on a wire mesh reactor is evaluated. Lignite samples were rapidly heated at four different temperatures (300, 500, 700 and 900 ◦C). The feed lignite reveals a high content of huminite, a low inertinite and liptinite contents in the Kostolac samples and a slightly higher liptinite content in the Kolubara samples. The char obtained at 300 ◦C and 500 ◦C shows slight petrographic and chemical changes. ...Miodrag Životić, Nenad Nikolić, Dragoslava Stojiljković, Danica Bajuk-Bogdanović, Dragana Životić.
