Effect of natural gas composition on methane number: A case of gas reservoirs in Serbia
Natural gas is considered as the most environmentally acceptable fossil fuel, thus it is an alternative to petroleum derivate, dominantly used in internal combustion engines. Physical properties of a fuel as well as behavior during combustion process are affected by its composition. This article presents analysis of effect of natural gas composition on methane number (MN), conducted for natural gas deposits in Serbia. For empirically determination of MN: California air resources board (CARB) method and Linear and Anstalt für ...Marija Živković, Milica Ivić, Dejan Ivezić, Aleksandar Madžarević. Possibilities for Reduction of Energy-Related Air Pollution in Serbia - Exploring Energy Scenarios
Fossil fuels and biomass account for almost 93% of the total primary energy supply in Serbia. Meeting the energy needs of consumers implies a transformation of the chemical energy of fuels through combustion processes to obtain heat that can be utilized as such, or further transformed into mechanical or electrical energy. These processes have an undeniable impact on air pollution, even in cases of biofuels or hydrogen combustion. Possibilities for air pollution reduction are identified, both on the supply ...Marija Živković, Boban Pavlović, Dejan Ivezić, Aleksandar Mijatović. Preliminary impact assessment of No2 emission from a heating plant on air pollution: case of Zemun, Serbia
The aim of this paper is to provide a preliminary evaluation of the impact caused by NO2 emissions from a heating plant on the local air quality. To model the spatial distribution of NO2 emissions from the heating plant, the AERMOD model was employed. The evaluation was conducted by analyzing and contrasting the simulated NO2 concentration from the heating plant with the overall NO2 concentration recorded at the nearest monitoring station over the entire heating season. The study focused ...Boban Pavlović, Uroš Pantelić, Marija Živković, Dejan Ivezić. Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. (North Macedonia) - sedimentology and biostratigraphy
The research area is located in the central part of North Macedonia, in the area of the Klepa Mts. Based on sedimentological, micropaleontological and biostratigraphical investigations of samples from both the east and west side of the Klepa Mts., sedimentary rocks of the Upper Creaceous age are determined. During the latest Cretaceous, this area was dominated by the sedimentation of dominantly carbonate rocks with variable amounts of clastic components. From the tectonic point of view, investigated area belongs to the ...Violeta Gajić, Milena Dunčić, Ana Mladenović, Dejan Prelević. "Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. Navigacija budućnosti: poslovni rizici i prilike u rudarskoj industriji
Effect of Properties of Working Fluids on the Efficiency of a Low-Temperature Organic Rankine Cycle
Decarbonization of all segments of energy systems, both on the supply and demand side, is one of the main goals of the energy transition. Electricity supply in the future will largely rely on generation from intermittent energy sources: wind and solar. Locally available, non-utilized alternative low-temperature energy sources as hydro-geothermal wells, and abounded oil and gas wells, have the potential to provide continual energy production over the year. Electricity generation from these energy sources is carried out with working ...Marija Živković, Aleksandar Mijatović, Dejan Ivezić, Boban Pavlović. Towards the semantic annotation of SR-ELEXIS corpus: Insights into Multiword Expressions and Named Entities
Application of MCDA in the determination of optimal block size for open-pit modelling and mine planning
The process of creating a geological block model as the basis for a further detailed design and planning of mining operations is a very responsible task. Errors made during this initial process are transferred to all other phases of the mining project. Certainly, one of the most important decisions for the modelling process is the choice of the appropriate size of the blocks that form the model itself. The determination of the optimal block size is not a simple ...dimenzije minibloka, višekriterijumska analiza, AHP, modeliranje ležišta, planiranje na površinskim kopovimaPetar Marković, Dejan Stevanović, Milica Pešić Georgiadis, Mirjana Banković. Against the tide: southeast to northwest shelf-edge progradation in the southeastern margin of Lake Pannon, Banat (Serbia and Romania)
In the late Neogene, the Pannonian Basin in Central Europe was filled with sediments when rivers from the Alps and Carpathians shed their sediment load into Lake Pannon. The most powerful source-to-sink system was that of the paleo-Danube, transporting sediments from the NW as far as the southeastern part of the lake. In the southeastern margin of the basin, however, local sedimentary systems worked in the opposite direction, against the “tide” of the prevailing N to S sediment transport. ...Dejan Radivojević, Miloš Radonjić, Lajos Tamás Katona, Imre Magyar.
