Rietveld crystal structure refinement of a natural rhombohedral grossular-andradite garnet from Serbia
Pavle Tančić, Aleksandar Kremenović (2022)Four macroscopically visible B–E (rim) zones, within a large natural ferric grossular garnet of Grs58–64Adr36–42 Sps2 composition, are described by means of Rietveld refinements of the crystal structures in a series of six space groups, followed by com parative analysis of the R-values, site occupancy factors, and bond lengths and angles. The garnet crystallized in the rhombohedral R63c space group. Various polyhedral distortions and structural or derdis or dervariations between the zones studied are also described and discussed. Burnishing Versus Smoothing In Ceramic Surface Finishing: A Sem Study
From the Neolithic up to the present, people have used various methods to improve the surface of ceramic objects. In this study, we look specifically at smoothing and pattern burnishing of ceramics produced today by traditional methods. Optical microscopy and SEM show specific surface changes. Smoothing results in an irregular surface, which causes diffused reflection of light. Burnishing produces an even and compact surface, which causes specular reflection and lustre. The results can be used to infer methods of ...Ionescu Corina, Volker Hoeck, Crandell Otis N., Šarić Kristina. The impact of calculation of resources and reserves on mining activity in Serbia
The appearance of interest of the world's most important mining companies i for investment in Serbia imposes the problem of harmonization of domestic legislation with foreign ones. In this paper, specific categorization and classification of mineral raw materials, which do not match in domestic and foreign practice, are treated. The existence of such a conflict of criteria in use for categorization and classification can lead to misunderstanding and create certain complications in business. The following sections outline some of ...geological exploration, deposits, solid mineral raw materials, mineral projects, mineral resources and reservesJelena Zakonović, Katarina Urošević, Radmila Gaćina. Defining location and dip of magnetic anomaly sources applying mathematical transformation
It is significant to define the location and dip of anomaly sources during the geophysical exploration (magnetic, gravity, electric, seismic, etc.). In this paper we presented results obtained during magnetic survey. Applying different method of mathematical transformations on magnetic data we can find the position (edge) and dip of magnetic anomaly sources. For successful solution of this problem, we used combination two method tilt derivative and upward continuation.
Kvantitativna analiza sa proračunom verovatnoća pojava ovakvih ekstremnih događaja i procenom odgovarajućih ekonomskih posledica, posebno u uslovima globalnih klimatskih promena, omogućava definisanje rizika i optimizaciju parametara sistema površinske eksploatacije.Natalija Pavlović, Tomislav Šubaranović, Dragan Ignjatović. Control of substructure construction of railways in the Republic of Serbia
