The impact of calculation of resources and reserves on mining activity in Serbia
The appearance of interest of the world's most important mining companies i for investment in Serbia imposes the problem of harmonization of domestic legislation with foreign ones. In this paper, specific categorization and classification of mineral raw materials, which do not match in domestic and foreign practice, are treated. The existence of such a conflict of criteria in use for categorization and classification can lead to misunderstanding and create certain complications in business. The following sections outline some of ...geological exploration, deposits, solid mineral raw materials, mineral projects, mineral resources and reservesJelena Zakonović, Katarina Urošević, Radmila Gaćina. Underground loading-haulage equipment selection with application of topsis method with different weighting methods of criteria
The choice of adequate mining machines is one of the most complex problems in the underground exploitation of mineral raw materials. The weight of such a decision is reflected in the high prices of these machines and the occurrence of even greater costs during their use if their choice was wrongly conceived. There are numerous examples from practice in which such decisions were made solely on the basis of comparing the prices of machines, without considering any of the ...utovarno-transportna mehanizacija, izbor, TOPSIS, entropija, standardna devijacija, težina kriterijumaVladimir Krivošić, Luka Crnogorac, Rade Tokalić. Reducing environmental impact caused by mining activities in limestone mines
Radmila Gaćina, Bojan Dimitrijević (2022)Mining and its related activities have always resulted in changes in the environment and these changes can vary from one area to another. As a result of mining, several types of changes can be distinguished: destruction of land and existing vegetation, changes in terrain topography, modification in air quality, changes in surface and groundwater quality, as well as change geotechnical conditions of the rock. Environmental impact of mining have been a public concern. There is widespread global interest in mining ...Radmila Gaćina, Bojan Dimitrijević. Application of Membrane Technology for Separation CO2 from Natural Gas
Natural gas consists of a mixture of hydrocarbons with the largest share of methane, and non-hydrocarbon impure components such as N2, CO2 and H2S. In order to fulfill the gas market requirements, it is necessary to separate these unwanted components from the natural gas stream. There are several available technologies for the separation of CO2 from natural gas, such as: polymeric membranes, cryogenic distillation, absorption and adsorption. In this paper is presented the mechanism of CO2 separation using membrane technology, ...Lola Tomić, Dušan Danilović, Vesna Karović Maričić, Branko Leković, Miroslav Crnogorac. Life Cycle Assessment of Individual Wood Biomass Heating Systems in Households
The use of solid fuels (wood biomass and coal) for heating of households continues to be common practice within European countries. Solid fuel combustion in households contributes more than 46% to total emissions of fine particulate matter. In this study, a life-cycle assessment (LCA) of firewood-based and pellet-based heating systems is performed. These two systems represent two different types of individual wood biomass heating systems. In the case of the firewood-based heating systems, it is analyzed a typical stove ...... Filter rules for soil and geosynthetics
Correlation of uniaxial compressive strength with the dynamic elastic modulus, p –wave velocity and s –wave velocity of different rock types
Knowing mechanical properties of rocks incorporated with ultrasonic waves velocities investigations provide a secure basis for mine modelling. Uniaxial compressive strength, dynamic elastic modulus and ultrasonic waves velocities are just some of the rock properties that indicate on presence of discontinuities, stratification and fissures of rocks. Determining the relationship of these rock properties testing the rock samples that are corresponding to different rock types extracted from different mineral deposits represents the core of this study. Estimating hydraulic parameters for the complex hydrodynamic models
Hydrodynamic models have usually been calibrated manually, by trial-and-error, with different values of hydraulic parameters and hydraulic characteristics of boundary conditions. This method of calibration and estimation of hydraulic parameters requires an extensive knowledge and experience of experts, but whether the resulting solution includes an optimal set of parameters still remains an open question. An optimization method founded upon the Gauss-Marquardt-Levenberg algorithm, along with PEST software based on that algorithm, introduces automation of model calibration with regularization, which substantially ...Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Ratković, Bojan Hajdin. During the construction of E75 highway through Grdelica gorge in Serbia, a major failure occurred in the zone of reinforced rock slope. Excavation was performed in highly anisotropic Paleozoic schist rock formation. The reinforcement consisted of the two rows of micropile wall with pre-stressed anchors. Forces in anchors were monitored with load cells while benchmarks were installed for superficial displacement measurements.
