Razvoj površinske eksploatacije se u velikom stepenu zasniva na svestranoj mehanizaciji rudarskih radova. Kako bi se zadovoljili potrebni kapaciteti, neophodna je primena savremene mehanizacije, velikih kapaciteta i pouzdanosti u radu. Optimizacija ugla nagiba generalne kosine unutrašnjeg odlagališta površinskog kopa Tamnava-Zapad
Formiranje geomehanički tabilnih unutrašnjih odlagališta otkrivke ima izuzetno značajnu ulogu pri projektovanju i planiranju razvoja površinskih kopova uglja sa aspekta preraspodele masa otkrivke, dinamike eksploatacije, ekoloških zahteva, rudarskih rizika i troškova.
