Negative Impact of Backwater Levels of Danube River and its Tributaries to the Groundwater Regime in Meliorated Riverside Areas
This paper describes updated calculation methodology of Danube backwater impact, occurred as a consequence of “Đerdap I” hydropower plant operation, onto the meliorated riverside areas. This methodology is based on hydrodynamic analysis of groundwater regime (size, duration, level and inflow changes) and quantification of melioration areas impairment which is caused by “Đerdap I” hydropower plant operation. By comparing the groundwater regime elements, obtained by variant hydrodynamic calculation in mathematical models for natural – not backed up and actual – ...HPP ''Djerdap 1'', backwater influence, groundwater regime, hydrodynamic analysis, melioration area, drainage system, additional energy engagementPredrag Pajić, Uroš Urošević, Dušan Polomčić, Milan Dimkić. Imputing missing data using grey system theory and the biplot method to forecast groundwater levels and yields
Groundwater management is one of today’s important tasks. It has become necessary to seek out increasingly reliable methods to conserve groundwater resources. Dependable forecasting of the amounts of groundwater that can be abstracted in a sustainable manner requires longterm monitoring of the groundwater regime (rate of abstraction and groundwater levels). Monitoring of the groundwater source for the town of Bečej, Serbia had been disrupted for multiple years. The objective of the paper is to assess the possibility of reinterpreting ...Jelena Ratković, Dušan Polomčić, Zoran Gligorić, Dragoljub Bajić. Integrated energy planning approach for accelerating energy transition of households
The success of energy transition planning depends on several influential and variable factors that need to be considered and tracked in modeling to support policymakers. Expert-based energy models are mainly developed following the assumptions of experts and, in most cases, a limited number of stakeholders. This top-down modeling approach will provide satisfactory results in centrally managed energy sectors (electricity generation and distribution, district heating, etc.), where further decisions could be projected relatively precisely. However, the same approach will not ...Energetsko planiranje, Integrisano energetsko modeliranje, Energetska tranzicija, Domaćinstva, Individualno grejanje, LEAPBoban Pavlović, Marija Živković, Dejan Ivezić. Mitigating hydrate formation in onshore gas wells: A case study on optimization techniques and prevention
Gas wells, particularly those situated onshore, play a vital role in the global energy sector by supplying a significant portion of natural gas. However, operational challenges, notably gas hydrate formation, pose substantial issues, leading to complications such as flowline blockages and unexpected well shutdowns. Application of Thermal Imaging in Surface Mining
The Impact Assessment of NO2 Emission from District Heating Plant on Local Air Quality, the Case of Zemun, Belgrade
The Belgrade district heating system relies on fossil fuels in heat production, where natural gas has the largest share of around 95% and fuel oil with around 4.4%.
...... of industry, most often in construction and mining. The optimization of auxiliary machinery in open-cast lignite mines: a case study of bulldozers
One of the most important prerequisites for the successful operation of the open-cast lignite mine is to carry out all the auxiliary works timely with the necessary quality. The most important and most commonly used auxiliary machines are bulldozers. Engaging time of bulldozers use is in direct relation with the coefficients of the time and capacity utilization of the continuous system for the excavation of coal and tailings, which indicates their importance. More than 100 bulldozers have been hired ...... hand, insufficient number of machines (dozers) will result in reduced execution of auxiliary operations, with influence on efficiency of continuous systems. Overview of the hydrogeological investigations of recently discovered world class deposits in Serbia
Europe industry has growing concerns on availability of the raw materials. To address this challenge, the European Commission has created a list of critical raw materials for the EU, launched EIT Raw Materials initiative, and continuously support research projects (like INTRAW, UNEXMIN etc.) with the aim of reducing the dependency and meeting growing demands. In the last 15 years Serbia is experiencing new bust in geological exploration of mineral deposits. Development of the hybrid MCDM model for evaluating and selecting bucket wheel excavators for the modernization process
This paper presents a methodology for evaluating and ranking different bucket wheel excavators (BWE) for determining which machine should enter in the process of revitalization and modernization. Various multicriteria methods are used. Combining them achieves the best effect when choosing BVE for the modernization process. AHP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, and PROMETHEE methods are used.
Iz objektivnih i subjektivnih razloga njegova realizacija nije ostvarena do danas. U međuvremenu je, uz dodatna geološka istraživanja i promenu dinamike i parametara sistema površinske eksploatacije, došlo do određenih značajnih prostornih promena geoloških i rudarskih uslova u eksploatacionom polju. Industrial Waste Heat Potential for Meeting Heat Demand in the Republic of Serbia
