Savić, Snežana D. Savić (2021)Poor water solubility of new chemical entities is considered as one of the main obstacles in drug development, as it usually leads to low bioavailability after administration. To overcome these problems, the selection of the appropriate formulation technology needs to be based on the physicochemical properties of the drug and introduced in the early stages of drug research. One example of the new potential drug substance with poor solubility is DK-I-60-3, deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone, designed for the treatment of various neuropsychiatric ...... A methodology for assessing the pressures on transboundary groundwater quantity and quality – experiences from the Dinaric karst
Zoran Stevanović, Veljko Marinović (2020)A relatively novel and abridged methodology for assessing the quantity and quality status of groundwater bodies has been applied in the Dinaric karst of SE Europe. Validation of pressure on quantity is based on groundwater budgeting and the correlation of available groundwater reserves and projected water demands, while pressure on quality is estimated by GIS-created maps: vulnerability – hazard – risk. The results obtained from the studied groundwater bodies indicate mostly low pressure on water quantity, but increased risk from diffuse and point pollution sources. ...Zoran Stevanović, Veljko Marinović. Analysis Of the Process Of Carbon Capture Utilization And Storage In Underground Reservoirs
John Nyame (2024)The importance of mitigating the effects of global climate change has necessitated an in-depth exploration of innovative strategies to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Among these strategies, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) has emerged as a promising and transformative solution. This master thesis delves into the diverse realm of CCUS processes, aiming to unravel the positives challenges, and opportunities within this dynamic field. The analysis begins with a systematic examination of carbon capture technologies, encompassing post-combustion, pre-combustion, and oxy-fuel combustion ...... Influence of mono- and two-component organic modifiers on determination of lipophilicity of tetradentate Schiff bases
Mesozoic carbonate rocks in Serbia used as dimension stone
Vesna Matović, Tijana Vojnović Ćalić (2016)The building industry in Serbia uses, to a great extent, imported natural stone for architectural purposes. The significance of local deposits, particularly limestones, is not adequately perceived despite the country’s abundance of these valuable resources. Therefore, this study focuses on Serbia’s Mesozoic carbonate rocks, specifically on the deposits of four selected quarries: Klisura, Skrzut, Struganik, and Tisnica. The quality and prospects of the application of these limestones has not yet been the subject of a detailed, comprehensive investigation. Therefore, ...... bulk density (ZSP) and real density (ZBP); b porosity (P) and water absorption (Uv); c compressive strength-dry, water rudstone). They also have a low porosity (1.3—2.0 %). Effects of bentonite binder dosage on the properties of green limestone pellets
Vladimir Jovanović, Dinko Knežević, Živko Sekulić, Milan Kragović, Jovica Stojanović, Slavica Mihajlović, Dragana Nišić, Dragan Radulović, Branislav Ivošević, Milan Petrov (2016)This paper presents the results of tests carried out to determine how the dosage of bentonite added as binder, affects the properties of green pellets made of the limestone fines that originate from Lithothamnium limestone processing. Bentonite was added to limestone in different mass fractions (1, 2.5, 5 and 10%), whereas all the other parameters of the pelletizing process remained constant.
