Damage quantification of built stone on Dark Gate (Belgrade, Serbia): sample of damage index application for decay rate evaluation
The Dark Gate is the monument of culture, part of the cultural and historical complex of the Belgrade Fortress. It is constructed of limestone blocks that after 270 years of exposure to environmental conditions and different anthropogenic influences show wide ranges of decay forms. During 2007, detail registration of all built limestone microfacies and weathering forms was done using tools of monument mapping. A correlation scheme ‘‘intensity– damage category’’ was made according to the type, intensity, and distribution of ...... building and artistic pur- poses. Although stone is generally considered an epitome of durability, factors such as climate change, pollution, use demands, lack of maintenance, and inappropriate past treatments present challenges for the conservation of stone buildings, structures and objects ...

Business Models for Small-scale Biomass Projects Development
Biomass is recognized as the most promising renewable energy source in Serbia. The share of biomass in Serbian final energy consumption is over 10%, but mostly related to traditional use in stoves and ovens. One of the main obstacles for wider implementation of contemporary biomass facilities is the inexperience of consumers and stakeholders in the implementation of “innovative” business models, especially in the cases of small-scale projects. In this paper, three different business models (public utility company, energy cooperative ...... additional investment in installation of PV panels on school, kindergarten and health center buildings provides their full energy independence. Jelena Pantić, Vladimir Urbanovich, Vesna Poharc-Logar, Bojan Jokić, Marija Stojmenović, Aleksandar Kremenović, Branko Matović (2014)Sphene (CaTiSiO5), a calcium titanosilicate ceramic has been prepared from a powder mixture of CaCO3, TiO2 and SiO2 using vibro-milling for homogenization and activation of precursors. During the highpressure and high-temperature synthesis (HPS) process at 4 GPa and 1,200 °C, sphene undergoes into phase transition, from room-temperature phase P21/a to high-temperature phase A2/a. Evidence of that structural phase transition is given in this paper using infrared, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. A hundred years of Milutin Milanković's climate change theory - geological implications
Quantitative landslide risk assessment in the city of Tuzla
In the climate-changing conditions, geological environment interacts more dramatically with the urban fabric than before. The urbanization is expansive and more aggressive than before, but so are the weather extremes and long-term climate trends.
