Correlability of Solar Wind with Seismic Events in the Balkan Peninsula Zone
The Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) satellite was launched on the 2nd of December 1995 at L1 Lagrange point (1.5×106 km from Earth) with the purpose of gathering data for helioseismology, remote sensing of the solar atmosphere, and solar wind in situ. The satellite was positioned into orbit in early 1996, with data acquisition expected to commence on January 20th. The correlation between increased values of solar wind parameters and earthquakes in the Balkan peninsula zone between 1996 and 2018 ...Filip Arnaut, Dejan Vučković, Ivana Vasiljević, Vesna Cvetkov. Mathematical modeling to define catchment size and real evapotranspiration (case study: Andrića karst spring, Western Serbia)
Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Ratković, Bojan Hajdin (2018)Water resources in karst are extremely important sources of drinking water supply. The quality of groundwater formed in karst aquifers is generally high and in most cases only chlorination is required. However, from a hydrogeological perspective, these water resources are the least studied. Often only basic information is available on catchment size, groundwater reserves (dynamic and static, if any) and groundwater balance. Detailed hydrogeological investigations and long-term monitoring of karst spring discharges are needed to acquire such information. In ...Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Ratković, Bojan Hajdin. Determining the Groundwater Balance and Radius of Influence Using Hydrodynamic Modeling: the Case Study of the Groundwater Source “Šumice” (Kikinda, Serbia)
A groundwater flow model was developed to simulate groundwater extraction from the public water supply source of the City of Kikinda. The hydrodynamic model includes the municipal groundwater source of Kikinda (Šumice and the Jezero Well), but also an extended area where there are groundwater sources that provide water supply to three factories: (MSK, TM and LŽT - Kikinda). Hydrodynamic modeling, based on the numerical method of finite differences will show the groundwater balance of the sources in the ...Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Zarić. Properties of fly ash and slag from the power plants
This paper describes the physical, chemical and mineral properties of ash and slag, which were taken from thermal power plants Nikola Tesla A, Nikola Tesla B, Kostolac A and Kostolac B. The knowledge of the mineralogical material composition is important because the type of minerals directly determines the properties of the fly ash and slag and their possible application. Laboratory tests showed that ash and slag samples consist of the following minerals: amorphous materials, quartz, feldspar, mullite, melilite, cristobalite, ...fly ash, slag, physical composition, chemical composition, mineral composition, X-ray diffraction methodMiloš Šešlija, Aleksandra Rosić, Nebojša Radović, Milinko Vasić, Mitar Đogo, Milovan Jotić. Laboratory testing of fly ash
Fly ash is one of the most common waste materials created by burning of coal. It is composed of smaller particles, consisting mainly of aluminosilicate glass, mullite and quartz, which are collected by electrostatic separators (filter) of gaseous products arising from the combustion of coal. This paper presents the pozzolanic properties, mechanical properties, chemical and mineral composition of fly ash obtained in the combustion process in a power plant Nikola Tesla A (PPNT A) with the addition of a ...chemical composition, fly ash, mechanical properties, mineral properties, pozzolanic properties, X-ray diffractionMiloš Šešlija, Aleksandra Rosić, Nebojša Radović, Milinko Vasić, Mitar Đogo, Milovan Jotić. Stanje i perspektivnost vodosnabdevanja Obrenovca i naselja opštine posle poplava, 2014. godine
Hydrographic and hydrological characterization of the Vodenička and Rosomačka rivers
Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Ratković (2017)The Visočica River rises in Bulgaria, on the Berovo Mountain. Its course in Bulgaria is 16.7 km long. It enters Serbia near the village of Donji Krivodol. Up to the village of Pakleštica, or the beginning of Lake Zavoj, its right-bank tributaries are the Krivodolštica, the Vodenička, the Rosomačka and the Dojkinačka. There are no left-bank tributaries. Among the tributaries, water levels and discharges are gauged only on the Dojkinačka River. The Vodenička had also been gauged but only ...Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Ratković. Fuzzy optimization in hydrodynamic analysis of groundwater control systems: Case study of the pumping station “Bezdan 1”, Serbia
Dragoljub Bajić, Dušan Polomčić (2014)A groundwater control system was designed to lower the water table and allow the pumping sta-tion “Bezdan 1” to be built. Based on a hydrodynamic analysis that suggested three alternative solutions, mul-ticriteria optimization was applied to select the best alternative. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process methodwas used, based on triangular fuzzy numbers. An assessment of the various factors that influenced the selec-tion of the best alternative, as well as fuzzy optimization calculations, yielded the “weights” of the alternativesand the ...groundwater lowering, groundwater management scenario, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, expert knowledge, triangular fuzzy numbers, linguistic variablesDragoljub Bajić, Dušan Polomčić.
